If you survived an attack from an animal like that it's only because it didnt fully commit to killing you because if it did you would be it's next meal. Without weapons there isn't anything you could do (in terms of fighting it) that would deter it if it was hungry.

The one in the video was really small and a human should be physically stronger. Outwrestling it would still be no option, since you will get clawed a lot. I also wouldn't feel safe to ram my arm into it's throat. Hitting it inside of it's mouth is going to be really hard and take a lot of balls.

I would try to keep it at a distance to avoid injury. Throwing rocks or hitting it with a long stick could keep it at bay without getting injured.

Even if we could match up physically with a large cat you have to take into account the fact that they will have no fear, hesitation. Once they take a bite or hold onto you with those claws you will be completely bewildered.

There was a cougar attack @ two bikers in Washington a couple months ago. The cougar was apparently emaciated and around 100lbs, and it killed the one biker and inured the other

My neighbor had a crazy housecat and my father tried to pick it up one day and it ripped his jeans leg open and ripped his leg open in around 10 seconds... blood everywhere, and that was a house cat.... albeit a big mean one.
My childhood 150 lb German Sheppard survived a fight with a mountain lion. Almost lost his tail and he had tubes sticking out of his skull from the bite marks for drainage for a month but he survived. Not sure who won though.

In cases like that, the mountain lion would fight to defend itself and then flee if even remotely injured. Predators do not like taking risks. That's why they always hunt the weakest prey they can find. That being said, a dog has a much better chance of surviving vs a mountain lion than a human. The German shepherd can easily kill a human if it wants to as well. Most of these dogs have a very nice temperament and do not invest themselves in trying to kill humans.

Yeah. That's really fuking sad man. Seems like the Cougar crossed into his territory so the dog had to fight him off. Poor dog...The amazing thing about dogs is their confidence to take on anything. Dogs will literally fight bears to protect their territory. Often, their confidence alone is enough to scare predators away. But in a fight, the dog will lose against bears and big cats, especially solo. In a group, dogs/wolves are extremely powerful though.

Bear would have still easily killed it. He just didn't want a fight. Grizzly bears are notoriously passive like this when they are foraging. They only get really pissed if you fuk with their territory or cubs. An angry bear pretty much = death. You very rarely see angry bear videos because they just go apechit on people/animals and rip them to pieces.

mountain lions can weight 65 to like 200 pounds. Males on the higher end and females on lower end. Regardless i can ohp these cats and throw them. Dont see how i would lose a fight.

I believe that this is exactly what most would try to do. Instinct says you would put your arm in front of your face/neck as that is where the lion would go first. However, the pain in your arm would be overwhelming and by the time you went to gouge its eye with your other hand, your guts would by laying at your feet as it clawed your belly with its hind legs. All of you bare handed lion killers always seem to forget about the hind legs. Watch any large cat attack video, whenever they are undersized they go for the head/neck and rake the rest of the body with their hind legs.

Against a smaller mountain lion, I agree that a joocey dude like you (no homo) may indeed survive the attack and force the cat to run off, but you will not avoid serious injuries. Even worse is the fact that a smaller mountain lion would have its hind legs roughly in line with your junk as you're holding it off with your arm. Your eye gouging game plan goes right out the window when a claw punctures a nad.

Just read about another case of a man in India killing a 60 lb leopard that attacked him by a creek, by jamming his hand down its throat and suffocating it. And another man in Africa killed a leopard by jamming his arm down its throat and pulling out its tongue. These are just average village men. Like I said if the leopard or cougar is a smaller female with an average size of 70-145 lbs then theres a chance a fit human man would win a fight this way. He would obviously receive serious injuries, but survive. And a 70 year old man killed a 100lb cougar that attacked him in Canada with a 3 inch pocket knife by slitting its throat. So proof that a male human can kill a smaller sized "big cat" like the one in that video with his bare hands or small simple weapons. Going against a 200 lb+ cat a human has no chance. As for a german shepherd or a wolf, a man would be able to kill that too. Humans are the apex predators of the planet! Top of the food chain!
