Don't think Cavill is a good fit, but we'll see. HARD doubt that they will pull off a video game TV show.

Only read one book and didn't get far in the games(first one had an error were I couldn't deliver the main quest to get to the next act, third one lagged on my PC, didn't play number 2 so far), but will certainely try to watch it.

Cavill looks quite young, but any in shape white dude with a toupe and acting skills could do.
One big problem for a filmmaker is how the Witchers enhancements dull his emotions. How do you act out not having emotions out without looking like a bad actor? Either the producers can find a good solution for this or they have to drop that plot point entirely, which on the other hand would make the character a lot more boring.

I don't think it's difficult, although it does depend on the charisma of the actor. There's a reason why the strong, silent type is a common trope in film. Think Daniel Craig as Bond--hard and prone to violence but can also be charming and even a bit funny. I don't think Cavil can pull it off though. He's a bit wooden, and would likely come off the way you're afraid it might come off as.

Hopefully its more like Game of thrones than Shanana chronicles. I hate those direct to video sci fi channel fantasy flicks. Unless they have copius amounts of large bouncy titties!

Forget about the games, the series will predate games and Mikkelsen is a bit too old.

He looks the part well, haven't seen his Superman movies so not aware on his talents.

That writing team worries me though, having a bunch of sjw feminists write for a poosy slaying Witcher doesn't bode well. Females in general are horrible writers. They ruined the later seasons of Dexter.

I read all the books and played all the games. He doesnt strike me as a great fit for Geralt. But hopefully i’m wrong.

Interesting choice. I would have thought Cavill is too big and young to play Geralt. But I've already read that Geralt was alot leaner in Witcher 3 because he had just recovered from some injuries and had more mass in the earlier games.

I hope those writer's do justice to the original games and Polish books.
