We were actually going to evacuate, but then we didn't, because no other news came out on how bad it would be. A Cat 3 is nothing, but wake up this morning, find out it's a 4, then power goes out. Now the wind and rain has been picking up (kinda back and forth tbh, but its definitely consistent, unlike last couple of days where it either rained for a little bit or didn't rain at all, with minor winds).

Usually by the time it's a Cat 3 and starts touching land, it quickly dies by then, but this one seems to be defying logic by strengthening as its making landfall...oh well. Might be my last message before the power ends up going out again. In the mean time, I'll try and report back when the storm is over....if im not dead.

So the hurricane hunter just recorded 919 mb and 150 mph sustained winds. Damn near a Cat 5.

Checking in boyos. Decided not to stay at my house which is surely going to get peppered but at an apartment complex which should be way safer. Def gonna ride it out and then bail on Thursday when all of the power is out
