American population : 372,000,000
Fatal police shootings in 2018: 992
Thats 0.0000266 % of the population being effected by ''police brutality'' LOL. Bare in mind out of the 992 many may have been justified so that percentage is ALOT lower.
ALSO
From that 992 figure 452 were white and 229 were black.
Now tell me why you are making such a big deal out of something that kills less than peanut allergies?

I'll show you an example of what I mean. Violent crime rate per capita is about 383 per 100,000. Let's assume all these were individuals, which is a gross overestimate. We get a violent crime rate of about 0.4%. Let's assume 50% of violent criminals are blacks. And blacks are 14% of the population. Then the likelihood of being a violent criminal given that you are black would be .5 times .004 divided by .14. This would leave you with about 1.4% likelihood of being a criminal given that you are black. For stereotyping to be morally valid, you would want this probability to be at least 50%. For it to be logically valid, it depends on your tolerance for crime. For example, you could just kill everyone and then there would be zero crime. This is dumb. Generally, you wouldn't want to stereotype and discriminate for anything below say a 5% likelihood because now you are screwing over 19 people to prevent the 1 from doing something bad. From a utilitarian perspective this is terrible. Our legal system is founded on the idea that it is better for a guilty guy to go free than an innocent to suffer injustice. This means 50% should be the cutoff. This is why discrimination is seen as wrong.

Dude did the right thing IMO, he's alive.
I too would just keep my hands visible, and wouldn't follow his order to reach into the car to turn off the engine, knowing that there is a gun in the car and they may take any movement inside the car as justification for killing you.

Yeah, he is allowed to have that gun, and the gun will be returned to him once this goes through the process. He was not arrested for having a gun. From your article "According to WREG, Truitt was arrested for loitering and disregarding an official order. "
This does beg the question though, why was he riding around with a rifle that was not in a case? At the very least that is irresponsible gun ownership.

People always try to blame the victims in this situation, same thing when that teacher was shot, the ame people did everything to try and justify the teacher being shot, calling his wife a crackhead, posting a mugshot of him, which was from when he was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Some of you are so astonishingly sheltered that you really have no idea how very little there is that is holding society together at this point in America. If it wasn't for rigorous Law Enforcement we would be a dysfunctional country like many others are. And, sadly, many places in the USA are completely and totally dysfunctional because Law Enforcement is incapable of keeping up with the crime. Be very, very thankful that you lived a safe and sheltered life and STFU about cops being rough on some stupid idiot.
Yea, also I never once in my fuking life loitered with a rifle in the backseat of my car. Know why? Cuz I'm not a fuking stupid idiot
