as a boxing fan i agree with parts of this. i can see why MMA has risen... it's more condensed and more action packed. but most importantly there's less politics so the top fights get made.

boxing can get a bit of a slog when you go into round 10/11/12, a lot of people zone out and lose interest. i actually wouldn't mind scrapping the last 2 rounds and reducing the overall number of rounds to 10... i think you'd get more action as there would be more impetus from fighters to impress in a shorter space of time, leading to more aggressive action and more ko's.
