I was kicked out at 18. I got a job and an apartment and went to community college. I am thankful my parents didnt let me to continue staying home smoking too much pot and playing video games all day on easy street.

Dad is right. The mom doesnt respect him at all. I hope dad has prenup and throws her our of the house too.

I moved back in with my parents when this covid thing started and I went remote. I make more money than I ever did, but now I don't have to pay rent. I can help my parents out financially, and I can actually save for a house, rather than dumping almost $2k a month living on my own so I'm close to work. It's great.

It's actually a modern thing. In 1940 57% of 18-24year olds lived with their parents.

Boomers lived through a time of economic prosperity where moving out was not as hard of a thing to do, financially. Many just don't understand that they are actually damaging their childrens long term financial security by kicking them out at 18 now (i.e. forcing them into a rent trap).

Husband is right tbh. Son is a coddled ******* with no sense of independence who wants to keep sucking mum’s titties.

Almost all criminals and such come from single motherhood houses because women are incapable of rational thoughts by setting their emotions aside usually if it’s an emotionally stimulating topic. The only way they think a child should be raised is to coddle him in a little bubble as much as possible and anything else is abuse. Fukn pisses me off so much. Half these fb moms on fb comment on every little video where the child faces a bit of adversity calling it child abuse. Having a man in the household helps offset this which is why most criminals aren’t coming from dual family households. Unfortunately in the eyes of a woman everything and every action that should be taken is based on the parameters of “cute.”

In turn what they do is create a bunch of beta narcissistic kids who can see nothing but their own needs and wants and are literally incapable of understanding things from a different perspective.

Dad obviously noticed how much of a bytch the son was and wanted to fix things before things got out of hand. The fact that the ******* son refused to move out shows how much of a bytch he is and proves the father’s point.

Also I’m guessing it’s not even his son and he was a step father? Idk.

He shoulda had more control on the situation throughout though

Edit: I’m man enough to admit I’m not the most objective here. I don’t have the best relations with my parents, one of whom was physically and emotionally abusive, and the other was emotionally abusive and I moved out a few months before my 18th birthday for university residence. No regrets and am glad as fuk I did.

My younger brother conversely is a spoiled little fat piece of shyt who knows nothing about overcoming adversity. My parents coddled him so hard. They blatantly discriminated against us and if we raised complaints about him (we were very young too, like in elementary) he’d start comparing him to prophet Joseph and about how his brothers hated him (as if that was our intent) and he turned out to be a prophet. So yea he literally compared him with a prophet to give you some perspective on how much they spoiled him. Now he’s 5’6 250lbs dyel fat fuk and stayed home for college and has terrible anxiety at 18... I used to fly at 18, jfl at being on two pharmaceuticals at 18. Kid is a very spoiled piece of shyt. I can guarantee that it would have been much better for him to move out and figure it out.

This isn't the 1920s. It's really difficult for the younger generation to make it out there. Low paying jobs, high rent, insane tuition prices, I really feel bad for them.

I couldn't imagine doing this to my son at 17. I'm going to try to guide him, but people grow at their own pace. Hell, I lived at home until I graduated from college at 27(srs) and turned out just fine.

Just don't raise your kid to be a dependent ******* and you'll be fine.

In this day and age it's honestly just not realistic. Both political parties have imported immigrants at a faster rate than we can create jobs, with the net effect that there simply aren't enough jobs to go around. This year, something like 20% of the adult population is entirely dependent on government services.

If kid were to actually get kicked out, his best bet would be to join the military and aim for a technical trade.

My dad woke up at 5am one day banging my door telling me to get the **** out, screaming but didn’t kick me out. Two months later when I moved out he felt insulted bc he’s a narcissist and begged me not to move out to live in the same city. Once we were visiting America and in the car he mocked this one family we visited because their daughters were practicing doctors and moved out to live in the same city and he was like “what kind of a family are they JUST FUKKING LOL! Nice family values and nurture not even once” yea well karma’s a bytch bud. My dad wanted me to wait until September to move out since that’s when my job in my major is set to start in a different city. He said he finds it insulting for a child to move out and live in the same city. And that I should leave his city at least which is why I want you to wait. In his mind he’s been making fun of other people for this so he can’t accept it.

That 5am rage wasn’t the first time this manlet told me to get the fuk out of the house. This was after he apparently changed. In high school it was as normal as the sun rising in the East and setting in the west.

You think I gave a fuk about him pleading me not to move? No.

So many people have such Stockholm syndrome. Why are you being such a simp for them when they kick you out for standing up against child abuse? Get the fuk out of there and if anything just pay for the bare minimums. Their hulu subscriptions can go fuk themselves. Food water rent. That’s it. If they have a house tell them to sell it to be able to afford things. You don’t owe them nothing if they treat you like shyt.

Why are we talking about renting an apartment anyway? Such a high standard. Just rent a room. More than manageable with a job. I wouldn’t kick a child out at 18 if they had no job but ideally they work in high school to save up money. Most kids who worked in high school ime are more level headed, way less leftist, and more practical. I worked with a bunch of them during my last job at a hardware store.

There was no way I could get through college debt free without the military. My kids will live with me till they finish school with a useful degree or join the military. Navigating the young adult landscape without accruing 100k in debt seems to take oversight and I don't intend on letting my kids fall into the student loan trap. Jobs that offer tuition assistance often do so at limited rates of a few classes a semester, so your 4 year degree takes 6-8years.

Some people do need to be thrown in, though. They often perform better than those with assistance, even.

That’s if like everyone has been saying that it’s allowed at the house. I moved out at 26 and a half and I was itching to leave for awhile. I stayed because financially it made sense and I didn’t want to live in my specific location so why would I buy/rent if I knew I was going to leave? Honestly I was hurt socially; however, financially I’m all set and between the too, actually having money is the better IMO.

My father wanted to kick me out at 18 or make me pay rent and my mother didn’t allow it. I asked why and she said I’m her kid why would she profit off of her kid? Which makes sense, I did everything else besides pay rent which honestly isn’t a lot, but some people like wincel still make their parents pay their cellphone bill.

Giving your son a roof over his head while he works and goes to school isn't spoiling him, your duty as a dad doesnt end at 18yo you complete degenerate fukwads. You want your son to be successful, you provide a roof over his head while he betters himself and when he leaves the nest he will be debt free.

If the kid is smoking weed all day and refuses to work, then throw his azz out.
