I have powerblock dumbbells, stationary bike, bench, and heavy bag at home. But I do keep my 24hr fitness membership and use it 6x per week. $36/month plus I use the pool/sauna quite a bit. And it's only 5 mins away.

PowerBlocks are nice. I have the 50lb set now which can expand up to 90lbs. I got them simply for the easy of switching weights. I was looking at Iron Masters as well but they've been out of stock for a year now. Overall I think the Iron Masters are as close to commercial dumbbell feel you can get, but the ease of switching the Powerblocks puts them over the top IMO. IronMasters, while not difficult by any means, require more work to swap weights.

I didn't buy powerblocks because they don't have every 2.5lb increment.. like they'll jump from 45 to 50 without giving 47.5.

The EXP ones do give increments. They have these two metal cylinders you insert in the handles to add incremental weight. I have these ones.

They do but what I mean is that they dont' have every increment.. they skip 12.5, 22.5, 32.5, 42.5, etc. I have spinlock dumbells which don't do 2.5lb increments at all, but they were $250 when I bought them while powerblocks are much more expensive.

You would be surprised how much 2.5lb increments can help, especially on lifts like overhead press. It's essentially microloading, which is incredibly useful for pushing past plateaus once you get into heavier weights. I wonder if they have microplates for dumbbells.. I need to look

Agree home gyms are GOAT. However tho, owning a home is not even the norm. Home gyms only exist for the lucky ones that have room for it and own a property. Money is not an excuse tho more of a combination of free room and will, my uncle who is a poor farmer has a badass exterior home gym with scarp metal that the scrapped from abandoned trains and trantracks, don't have any pcitures on me but looks like a mad max slash alien slash post-apocalypitic rust gym

You can get magnet plates. They have ones that are lighter too
