His mission would be to save America and by extension all of humanity from the "evil science denying Orange Man and his enablers/supporters who vote Republican". He would do this from behind a keyboard one inflammatory post at a time.
This fits in with his narcissistic personality and delusions of grandeur. Trying to take small incremental steps that would improve his outlook on life? Oh no, that's small potatoes. A useless waste of his immense intellect. He would do his part to save humanity from those who seek to stifle the progression of the species. What more noble pursuit is there than that?
