I spend a lot of time about 30 ft from a UV light after triggering a screamer to collect trophies for upgrades. I'm a decent fan of being able to beat them senseless then retreat for 30 seconds when i need some UV

Same. They kind’ve made them easier and less scary when it should’ve been the opposite in this one. I went ahead and started a second play through to do some opposite choices and play on the highest difficulty and I gotta say, I’m enjoying it far more now. They have some really cool Easter egg stuff in here. Even got on with a few friends and had a blast the other night. I think I loved the first one so much that I personally overhyped this one.

The game really opens up once you hit the city and get your park our leveled up a bit. Much more fun to run around.

Probably about mid way through the tree. I put most inhibitor points into agility instead of combat so I could get it moving. Game flows alot better when you aren't slow climbing **** and missing jumps.

Also being able to dive off roof tops with the paraglider is nice.

I think I’m 18/25 in parkour and there’s still a chit ton of building I can’t climb downtown. I spent an hour or so Fuking around trying to get to an air drop before just leaping to my death. I miss my grappling hook

Can confirm the grappling hook is terrible. Like when you have to get to the top of the broadcast tower you have to grapple several times in a row and if you don't time it just right you can't get enough momentum or get too much slack and are literally forced to fall to your death. There's no way to pull up on the rope and it makes zero sense.

I didn’t have too much trouble with it but on my 2nd play through I made sure to max out stamina first (level 26) and upgrade both the paraglided first and grappling hook second. Even with the fully upgraded grappling hook it still isn’t of much use except for the areas that it’s obvious you have to use it. I also found I don’t really use many of the combat skills. They’re cool and all but I just don’t use them besides maybe 3 or 4 of them. Even the parkour skills I used a lot in the first one like wall run and tic tac (or wtf it is) I rarely have to use in this one.

I haven’t been back into the game since I last tried to do some side missions a week or so ago.

Reading some of your thoughts I don’t feel any pull to try and get back to it. Outside of all the complaints I listed this just didn’t scratch the itch I’ve had for dying light for years now. The first one was so much fun I played through from level 0 several times after deleted all my saved data. And even doing that I still had a blast.

Yeah I gotta say I'm over the story line at this point. They've made it too drawn out. Played the Dt in the GRE silo mission last night while he's trying to get info on his sister and BAM a huge problem, we fixed it. BAM a huge problem, we fixed it. BAM, a huge problem, we fixed it. BAM a huge problem we fixed it just got old really quick. I was into the storyline first but now I'm just skipping all of it. So much potential and actually decent they just drew it out wayyyyy too long.

Also for newbies, it's a glitch but if you revisit military drops a few game days after you collect them, typically you can collect it again.

Uodate: I tried to rush through the final (or what I assume is the final) triple fight. It got old REAL quick that for every 30 seconds to a minute of actual playtime was cut with 5 minutes of cutscene, so I started skipping. Then what I assume is the FINAL fight, the opponent glitched into some gas canisters where I couldn't hit him but he could throw things at me. Reset and tried again with the same result. Might not be able to finish.

Not naming specifics or characters for spoilers reasons, but definitely over this game.

Finished the campaign with about 60 hours played.

Story was whatever. I skipped alot of it, there was way too much fukkin talking to people.I paid more attention at the ending which wasn't too bad I guess.

The city in this game is fantastic. Way better then the first game.

The grappling hook nerf was necessary, now that I'm high leveled it's much more easy to get around anyways. The game is 10x more immersive with the parkour changes then the first one. No more easy escapes.

Idk theres alot more I could write but I think overall this is a more polished game then the first dying light.

I found the dev room with the left hand of glova blueprint and the korek weapon charm that gives you +500 weapon durability. Pretty awesome nod to the developers and they put a cool thank you to the fans who find the room.

Also I really loved the music throughout the game. I thought it did well setting tones for what you were doing.

I did run into some bugs but none game breaking.

got a patch on series x/s. 60 fps mode for Series S. Higher res at 60fps via a new "balanced" mode.

My friend is obsessed with this game. I played it a bit and didn't like it. The fact 95% of the weapons are melee is extremely lame for a zombie game. The first person parkour stuff just feels and looks awkward. If this is one of your first horror/survival apocalypse games I could see the appeal, but so many other games do it better.

My friend has some sort of build where he just one shots every single thing the pistol. The fact the game isn't really scary is also a huge detriment. Fallout 4 with a couple minor mods is more scary zombie game than this, and thats not even its core theme.

It's a pretty cool experience. The parkour is great and if Melee gets overwhelming with human enemies you can always just stealth it and lure in infected to bandit camps/outposts with bait or use infected knifes. Causes a lot of mayhem and easy xp. Either that or molotov cocktails for crowd control.

Would have liked a bit more variety in the interior scavenger sections but they cut and pasted a lot of the same ones.

So far for me it's a solid 8/10
