I'm very glad that you didn't deny being ashamed of yourself.

The paper in question was inconclusive and flawed in creating pooled estimates. Far from "definitive".
So, you have no credentials, and you say it's not definitive. So we should listen to you.

I didn't say I have no credentials.

I didn't say you should listen to me.

I was maybe not clear enough in suggesting interested people read the study for themselves.

If you look at table 2.1.1

The portion I highlighted is information the stats software is reporting on between-study heterogeneity in the meta-analysis. It says there is significant heterogeneity and we should exercise caution in attempting to combine these trials. One or some of these things are not like the others.

The authors seem to have disregarded this warning.

Between-study heterogeneity means attempting to produce pooled estimates isn't a great idea. However, there is opportunity in identifying sources of heterogeneity, which could improve our understanding of how interventions help or harm. Meta-regression is one way to approach this, but with only 4 studies included in this review, that's not really possible.

I'm not a liberal, have never tried to control anyone, and am very skeptical of science.

What is it with you ****ggots and your crying about your arguments not being addressed?
It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.

I just don't see the point in trying to insult strangers on the internet.

Because that's a lot worse than moving goalposts, playing semantics, and generally acting stupid whenever it suits you.

People try to insult strangers in the internet because it's worse than the other things you listed
