Nope. More than that.

If a youth runs away from home they will likely avoid a shelter that immediately contacts the people they ran away from.

Therefore, the legislature intends to remove barriers to accessing temporary, licensed shelter accommodations for youth seeking certain protected health care services."

Don't worry, folks.
Both parties are the same.
You should just vote blue because Reagan fired ATCs. And something about Richard Nixon. And McConnell.
It doesn't matter that ALL democrats voted yes on this.
Just keep voting blue, guys. Share Blue paid me 3 cents to post this. I'm a moderate conservative and the right wing has moved too far right. Obama was a conservative. Oz said crudite. Whitmer and Fetterman are true Americans who care about the poor. Lol @ cheering for your team. Help me get another 3 cents from ShareBlue. Vote blue.

Speaking of though JFC.. where are you with your transition? They take your cawk and insert your new vag yet? New boobs, or do they come later?

It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.

A parent may not even know why the child ran away and could involve law enforcement or other groups in a desperate search – all the while going through an unnecessary emotional nightmare, imagining the worst about what might have happened. It’s also wrong how this bill wouldalso apply to children from other states who may travel thousands of miles for services not available to them at home. Unless there is reason to suspect parental abuse or harm, parents deserve to know where their teenagers are.

Shelters are required to inform parents of a youth's location with 72 hours unless there is a compelling reason not to do so.
Shelters do not hide, keep, or adopt youth. It's reported, but when compelling reasons are present parents are not given the location, for obvious reasons.

Abusive parents showing up at a shelter is likely a reason youth would avoid a shelter.
My position is that a shelter is better than the street.
Particularly for at risk youth.

My position is, I'd rather have more parents informed of their kids' whereabouts. There will always be kids that avoid shelters no matter what.
