Crazy..
I just think of the video games, zelda, super mario 64, wave race, donkey kong 64, 1080, twisted metal for playstation
my relatives making me all these processed foods that I didnt know any better as I played them and skipped school.
the music, the shows, the toys, wrestling was peaking, sports were good.. city wasnt swarmed with 10 million immigrants yet so you felt relatively normal in school as a white person
family always seemed to be able to afford things, rent and food despite working basic jobs like waitress etc

run away from the internet as fast as you can. digital rehab will become a thing.

This. Greatness in ways young people today just cannot comprehend.
It really was a completely different country.
The 80s were pretty great too though.
90s were the downward slide and 2001 = the end.

90s was the last decade of western exceptionalism
9/11/2001 was a light switch moment where corporations, the MIC and other actors outright took over the west ever since then it’s been in rapid decline

Welcome to Good Burger, home of the good burger, can I take your order?
the 90's was good, toys and pop culture peaked in the 90's, we didn't have the absolute cancer that's social media and people were happier.

Easily the GOAT decade.
I try to explain this to my kids. They don't and will never know. Hits me in the feels that they will likely never have it as good. Srs.

I grew up in the 90s and it was wonderful. Had a great time. Really nice time to be alive as a child.
Having said that, I wouldn't necessarily 'go back.' My life is better than it's ever been. I'm fortunate enough to have had a childhood adaptive enough to build a strong foundation and proceed to continually tack on positive adulthood scaffolding later on, if that makes sense. We're living in the greatest time in human history right now. Especially if you're lucky enough to have been born in the western world. Limitless potential for achievement and learning. People who claim otherwise just don't capitalize on this privilege enough.

I miss the 90s and early 00s legit every week.
Everyone was way more happy then and life was more novel.
100% we peaked then, there will be no greater time to come for anyone reading this right now.
