Knew nothing about Pantoja before the bout, but came out a big fan. Gutsy win after looking spent in Rd 2. That stuff about his dad was HEAVY, and he appears to be a really good dude. Brandon looked soft physically compared to how he looked about Davison. Great fight between the two of them, and agreed with 48-47 Pantoja.

Also good to see Bo tone it down some of the proclamations compared to when he first started, and especially with the win with not some crazy call out and focusing on him having a kid on the way. Great job. He is definitely ready for a jump in competition. Would like to see him vs. a top 15-20 guy, no need to rush him Pereira style (even tho I think he could easily handle it).

Volk is just too damn good. Nothing left for him at 145, and TONS of great fights for him at 155. If he stays at 145, the only mildly interesting thing for me there would be if Aljo beats O'Malley in August, and Aljo wants to come up to 145 like he's talked about. Volk vs. Tuporia doesnt interest me much.

Great fight with Hooker and Turner. Hooker looked awful in R1, and seemed to have a hard time with Turner's size/length, which was weird to me since he trains so much with Izzy. Turner wilts if he cant be a bully, and Hooker (who I normally am not the biggest fan of) really impressed me with how he turned it into a dog fight. Hooker ate his shots throughout, fought with way more heart, and did all that with a broken arm. Great stuff.

I too was way wrong on Dricus. He seems so awkward, clumsy, off balance all the time, and didn’t think Rob would have any issues at all. Dude appears to hit like a truck tho, is massive / strong, and good downhill fighter. UFC really struck gold with him and Izzy’s prior beef. Could have done without Izzy’s typical cringe show, but is good to see a clear challenger.
I think Topuria vs Volk would be a great fight, but I think he just needs one more fight before we know he is truly ready. Somebody like Max. But in all honesty they should probably just book it now because there is no other fights at 145.

Oliveira says he isn't ready for the Abu Dhabi card in October and realistically there is nobody at 155 that deserves a title shot. Maybe they do Volk vs Islam 2 or put Dustin there. Or Volk just waits since he only fights about twice a year anyways until a contender emerges.

there is a disproportionate amount of alphas at ufc events. if you were to poll ufc fans and people who train on their political views, i guarantee they would be more conservative compared to fans of other sports. barely any ufc fighters express woke views in the ufc whereas it's prominent virtually all other sports

have trump attend a soccer game, and he will get booed guaranteed
