Best feeling in the world was becoming a father to my boys.

I cried, my hands were shaking so much.

Oh and I always changed into my favorite golf polo when both the kids were born to make a good impression lol

Yeah man it is. All the ups and 'downs' too - I can get what Muzzl said earlier in the thread that this early period wasn't great for him. It is hard on moms since the baby has such a strong, necessary link to them.
Yes we lost our first son during the third trimester of the pregnancy. Happy now with what we have though. Obviously we'll never forget but it's useless to keep lingering on it.

It's insane how little kids try to mimmick everything they see other people do. My little girl just fell asleep last night holding her doll on top of her chest because she sees her mum doing that with our newborn. And whenever we're changing diapers of the newborn she starts taking off the pants of her doll. It's really cute to see.

If you guys ever played music when your wife was pregnant you might even notice that your little one will recognize certain songs and enjoy them. That's what we experienced at least.

She recognizes tunes - I used to sing a song with my face against the tummy for the last 3 months of pregnancy.

Now when I sing it her eyes go wide and a little smile forms. She even "laughed" yesterday if you can believe it when wifey and I burst out laughing.

It only gets way better man. Honestly in my opinion the first 6 or so months are pretty chitty compared to what's next.

Yeah I get what you mean and Muzzl said it earlier ITT - about the men being satellites basically while the baby is pooping/sleeping/feeding basically.

A friend of mine sent me a video where his son was in a 'baby gym' at 7 months old, doing 'assisted chin ups' sort of, was wild how far training has come I guess!

Some of the older Miscers are coming around and saying they aren’t sure who he/she/it is. I’m convinced it’s a mod alt with alternating women and men because sometimes “she” sounds like a dude.

On a happier note enjoy every second of the baby!! Babies are so much fun. I love all of the cute outfits and expressions they make.

Mine is now going off to college so I really miss it when she was young.

When we go for walks it is amazing how people want to connect. "Congratulations!" from randoms, or people introducing themselves and their kids.

I just screamed at my 2 year old last night for the first time.

He kept crying screaming and wouldn’t go to sleep. Finally snapped and said knock it off and be quiet. He got really quiet and got scared

Feel like biggest POs. Op, the day will come when they’re toddlers. First time yelling is awful . Not doing it again/rant

Honestly think that both your reaction and your feeling afterward are pretty normal breh.

Been talking to a lot of brehs about kids now and one told me he didn't even feel love for his baby until it stopped "making his wife cry".. Their first 8 months or so were a living nightmare apparently.
