The USA features higher levels of violence in its criminal activities, including ambushes for LEOs, shooting at them during a simple traffic stop etc.

There are 10 million arrests per year in the USA and only a tiny, tiny fraction of them involve impropriety.

I saw a guy hop a turnstyle in NYC and when 2 cops nearby told him to stop, he started spitting at them. In a few minutes there were about 10 cops - the guy, probably 20? Had no sympathy, folks were yelling 'taze him!!!' but since some were videotaping they didn't use any 'painful noncompliance' at all.

This behavior happens in no other western country on this planet that I know of, srs.
I don't necessarily have a problem with the OJT approach they do in the US. 3-6 months initial training is solid if you then tune in the training overtime.

I would like to see it where they have once a week training: BJJ, Roleplay, Marksmanship/tactical training, Law/Constitutional Training, and of course the compliance tricks they currently use. The more capable a person is the less they overcompensate to stimuli.

I would like to see them get paid more, but have to take out personal liability insurance to cover law suits (like doctors) if they can't afford the premiums they will be unemployed.

10 cops seems excessive when a quick RNC nap would solve the issue. Of course NYC banned chokes... Stupid.

The person in question was wrapping his arms around metal rails etc., and they couldn't even do anything except 'pull' and tell him to 'let go'. It was a shame, waste of time.

Police training and psychological testing needs to be robust considering the power they wield. And in the USA, given the level of violence here and the frequency of arrests/detentions, they should be trainedmuch morethan European counterparts I mentioned, e.g. Germany.

But increased training runs contrary to "defund the Police", and it's that I'm attacking here. Not calls for police to improve. See my posts earlier ITT for the book I refer to viz. the 'citizen protector' in an age of decline - and this includes declining police forces in poor(er) parts of the USA. The citizen protector then buys guns (even folks who never thought they would) and shoot and kill people robbing their stores etc.

Yup. You can see from some of the Miscers that use the word, that analysis really isn't their thing.

Really painful reading through this thread. Haymakers everywhere. Yet he doesn't understand his place or reality. Reminds me of Silence of the Lambs when Buffalo Bill is looking in the mirror and saying "I'd f*ck me" That's his reality.
This is what someone angry looks like, folks. He has been seething ever since I dumpstered him. Following me around from thread to thread, seething at my superior life and status.
