Went to Phuket for 10 days in October. Thailand is the dream they tell you about and then some more, loved it.

Cost me £1000 in flights flying from UK , 2 hour stop over in Doha. Around £500 for 10 nights in a 5 star resort.

Edit - Other point I loved about Thailand was the people. Iv travelled a lot, and been in similar countries with extreme poverty. The locals in these other countries beg on the street for 1st world tourists. In Thailand, the respect these people have is incredible. Pure poverty, but love life.
And the fifth rule and most important, work your but off.

Don't care about the smashes as I had a plethora of them went I went to SEA that it's not even impressive hooking up with locals, it's pitiful as they're pretty desperate
