I loved DD1 but the monster variety is one of my criticisms. It just doesn't compare to something like The Witcher 3 when it comes to monster variety, and based on other posts, it seems like they even lessened the monster variety in DDG2 which is a shame.

this game kind of looks like the final fantasy game released for PS5, for some reason I got bored of that pretty quickly

Yeah, DDDA has a cult like fanbase which screams if you give it a rating less than 8/10.

DD2 is a decent JRPG slog, but I think decent games are in the 5-6 range. People are too generous with handing 7s, 8s, 9s, and 10s out to games, they overrate them.
