Plus some people ran into situations where they weren't really at fault like my 50something friend was engaged to a guy for years and then it didn't work out in her 30s. She certainly wasn't working long hours on a "career" and she isn't now.

But there are 2 attorneys–one at 42 and one in her early 50s, who say that they haven't had a boyfriend for the past 12 years and they've never been married, and that could be intimidation by their jobs by the men. Or the type of personality for a woman to become an attorney is usually pretty assertive.

The problem with being an aunt, is that one they go off to college they really don't want to talk to aunts or any family members that often as they're off partying and busy with studies. I have nieces and nephews and remember when they gave me pedicures and would play Barbies with me. I still hear from them and they follow me on IG and vice versa, but it's different now that they're away at college.

I don't see the women in their 40s and 50s hooking up with "Chads" either so I don't think the problem is that they were waiting for Chad.

I think being in your 50s has to be one of the toughest ages for women as the kids who doted on you for being an aunt are no longer doing that, your parents start aging so you're taking care and/or losing them, you run into ageism at work and get laid off, but you're too young for Social Security, and for women who have kids the kids are going off to college.

Wife and I have been married for 12 years. Neither of us ever wanted kids. We still maintain that attitude. I don't look at her as less of a woman for not wanting children. Im actually more impressed with her character because she takes a lot of crap from women about it. The same women who say "my kids are the best thing ever" while in the next sentence saying "i love my kids but i just wish i had a break. Its so hard."

I actually feel bad for people who want to raise kids in todays world. Its really not up for debate, the world/western civilization is crumbling. Your kids are going to live in an awful, dystopian world. Freedoms are being stripped every day. At the rate where going, America will be in a leftist totalitarian hell hole sooner than we think. Good luck raising kids in that. I used to understand why people wanted to raise kids and I would be happy for people when I found out they were having a kid. Now, I truly feel bad for them.

Reducing the amount of people that have a piece of my heart is my goal. I care too much and worry too much about my loved ones. I can't imagine having a kid in todays world.
While I respect anyones decision to not have kids, I feel this is not a very good argument. The world has always sucked more or less, it goes through ups and downs. If people quit having kids through wars, famines, plagues, the great depression, then humanity would've been extinct long ago. The issue now is retards are popping out kids, and the people that should have kids aren't. We can somewhat ensure a brighter future by raising well rounded individuals. Strong men create good times, and all that

Yes I also take a lot of medications which make me tired all of the time but even my friends who don’t take meds say they don’t have the energy for a small child at 50.
We both work and manage fine at 48 wih a 2 year old. Your friends are just pussies.

Your wife had a baby at 45-46? Wow, although my OB/GYN said he has a lot of patients who are 45+ lately.

You're able to balance a 2 year old with both of you working full-time, going to the gym and/or playing a competitive sport, family obligations, etc.?

I lift 4 days a week and swim the other 3. My wife swims 6 or 7. We both work full time and both look after our daughter.

To top that off, I'd had a stroke and pacemaker by 25 and I still do this at 48.

Lack of energy is just an excuse for weak people.

You're definitely not like most people I know at all! Good for you for keeping in shape while also looking after a little one.
