Enki

I’m really hoping you are going to claim that this is “Lucifer” in the Bible, just rebranded…but I’m gonna let you embarrass yourself with this one..

Hopefully you’ll also make the false presumption that the Tower of Babel was copied from Sumerian texts as well…that’s something I’d love to get into!
All of the sumerian 'gods' are satans - the first rule of God is that there is no idols or pictures of God. Same deal as when somebody calls YHWH the storm god and shows an idol from caanan thinking they're smart. That's not YHWH. Commandment exist for a reason.

Yup, unfortunately Abzu is in for an education that I’m sure he is not ready for. I do hope he revisits this thread.

Some people use religion as a mask but it cannot be everyone.
What did you hear? I can tell you that very often satan can masquerade as angel of light and pretend to be God. I'd say to use the bible as an anchor

I say this because people often think that enlil is equivalent to God - not true at all. They're all satans. Enki, enlil, anu, the whole lot.

Lmfao - pick up a bible please and take your godly advice from there. More often than not mystical experiences come from the devil than the actual God, especially if you were not a strong believer to begin with.

I say this as someone who had plenty of mystical experiences and in the end i realised it was all a demonic deception.

Did the voice tell you to pick up a bible or worship Jesus Christ?

Ah ok..you're a troll. I have read parts of the Bible. You do know the Bible has been rewritten many times over by man right? The word of God never changes

No, I am being serious - please heed my warning or you'll find out the hard way.

I don't know how else to say it - if a spirit or voice doesn't tell you to believe in Jesus or believe in the bible, that's an antichrist.

I really did learn the hard way.

Tower of Babel brother. People like you wanted to be like God rather than teach his word. Why do you think all old religions have similar stories. It's all the same religion tainted by man over 1000s of years

Been there done that.

Bible is the word of God and Jesus is the only God - the others are fallen angels from the bible.

Take my advice or find out the hard way.

What Bible are you reading that hasn't been changed or parts taken out?

Pretty sure the number of parts changed or taken out of the original manuscrips is miniscule.

And yet, it's still not the word of God. The word of God does not change because God does not change.

So which God and religion do you follow?

I've experienced it all - sensing energy, bliss, predicting the future, intuiting other people's thoughts, etc - it's all demonic.

There are similar stories, but only one the Bible is the true account of history and truth.

It's not that simple. Muslims and Sikhs claim to follow the 'one true god' even the pagan hindus believe in 'one god'.

Believing in 'one god' can litirally mean anything - the devil is in the detail with this one.

I am telling you that Jesus is His name.

No you're wrong. There are evil people that follow all religions. God even warns us of such in the Christian Bible. Are you now saying that God is wrong?

This is a slippery slope, but there is no evidence that the essential Christian documents have ever changed. Nearly every scholar gives testament that the New Testament is incredibly reliable to what was originally written.

Quran has many versions however

Listen - I am trying to help you.

Whether a Christian is non-observant or not makes no difference - i agree that just saying you're a christian isn't good enough.

Saying you believe in the 'one true god' can mean anything - all non-christian religions at their core belief in 'one god' as a way to cover their asses.

You need to believe in a very specific 'One True God' named Jesus Christ.

Nothing you stated is in relation to what WiseOldApe posted. Reread his post, then yours. The god of the quran is a false moon god.

No they believe in one true God because that's all there is. You think you speak the word of God. You do not. You are so narrow minded you can't even learn from your own Bible. The story of Babel is a cautionary tale about people like you thinking they speak for God so he devided them.

I came in here to share my experience and you of all people said it didn't happen. Why? Because it didn't happen to you? Well here's the thing about God. He only speaks to those willing to listen. So if he hasnt spoke to you, well then you simply aren't ready

I didn't say it didn't happen - I said more often than not people who think they've had an encounter with 'god' have just met the devil.

I say this with full confidence that even if it was Jesus who you met, you should still just stick to the bible's scriptures and with Jesus as God to avoid being deceived.

Plenty of people have been deceived by satan pretending to be an angel of light and an angel of The Lord - just look at mormonism and mohammedanism.

I'm far from holy, never claimed to be.
I'm a sinner in need of a savior, and that is why I trust and put my faith and devotion upon Jesus Christ.

All that proves is that religious superstition is inherent to the human psyche.

Those 40 million people having religious experiences is no more proof the veracity of those experiences, than a schizophrenic’s delusions is proof that he himself is really God.

If anything, your argument is more a proof that supernatural phenomena actually do not exist, given that all 40 million of those people have vastly different experiences which contradict each other.

I must say that this type of brainless, self-righteous, pat-myself-on-the-back, cookie-cutter, milquetoast sort of religious syntax is obviously not intended to change the minds of anyone you’re communicating with, but is instead simply a way for you to feel (mistakenly) that you are somehow better than everyone else.
