Don't forget that when you put it away and it's motionless the battery clock kind of stops counting due to motion sense

any new findings on the AR pistol brace law proposal fiasco?
(Still allowed to have the brace and forego tax stamp…..or they need to be registered as an SBR?)

No movement yet.

IMO the best theory I've heard is they drop it this Friday afternoon before the long holiday weekend.

Because that's the chicken sh!t thing to do, and they have a history of doing things that way.

Mags are always the #1 target for the libs. And they have had success banning in multiple states recently. They are wear items and don't last forever. They are also unserialized and can be easily sold or bartered.

At one point, mags were selling for like $100/ea back during the federal ban. Now they are $7-8 on sale. There's no downside to buying hoards of them.

Unless transfer is a felony when a ban passes because they learned from their 'mistakes' in the past

Sure, that's possible. But I guarantee there'd be a period of insanely inflated prices between the time the law passed and when the law took effect. We've seen that same thing all over. If you wanted to unload them for 300% profit, you'd have a window.

Has Holosun been "proven" yet? Didn't think they've been tested enough to have that label but I don't follow them. I was also under the impression the P2s had been put through a decent round of testing. Maybe I have them backwards lol.

Yes .

Do you even E-know somebody that has posted about using their P2 extensively? I don't, nobody. Haven't spoken to anybody running one either. They are still a theory as far as I can tell, and since the P1 was a steaming pile of sht, well, they've got that to disprove

Did aimpoint just not do any testing before putting the P1 out there? If so, well, they are in the same group as Sig

This seems like a great deal. I know Magpul came out with a gen 3 mag, but has anyone worked with it before? Is it worth getting over this deal? I only have two gen 2 mags, but they seem to work flawlessly.

Don't get me started on mag laws in Maryland. Can't buy/sell/modify/transfer magazines to have a capacity greater than 10. But you can own and use them. A gun shop here can order you a Beretta with 15 round mags, and give you said mags as long as they as an FFL put a wooden dowel inside the mag, limiting the capacity to 10 or less. Illegal for me to remove the dowel in MD. Legal for me to drive across the state line to PA, remove the dowel, and return to MD with my 15 rnd mag. Legal for me to order a 15 round mag from Beretta, ship to my FIL in PA, pick up / transfer the mag in PA, and return home with the mag and use it.

Go figure.

I think braces are going to be considered SBR's and you need to forfeit them, stamp them, or be a felon. Like they did with declaring bump stocks as machine guns. And they are going to pretend they aren't making law by doing this since only the legislature can do that.

Damn. I was hoping you were saying "they drop it" as in leave the issue alone.

Guess I'll have to sell the day before its announced (or within any given grace period) and dust off the ol 16"

Is it expected to impact guns without braces? Like AR with just a buffer tube? AK pistols with no stock/brace? Those shockwave shotguns with just the grip?

Prolly should get myself more aware of these things, since I am likely going to be made a felon if I don't.

GOA is ready to push the lawsuit button the instant the AFT drops their new pistol brace "rules".

I have little faith that they will win, mostly because of the current administration, but there is a chance.

The beauty of that is SCOTUS doesn't really GAF about what the current admin is.

Of course, the admin will still pass unconstitutional laws and states like NY and NJ will still ignore what SCOTUS says and be even more restrictive so that is a problem.
