I have been considering an L Bracket for some time. I think the local camera shop has some for sale.
Been using them for 10 years and could never go back to a flimsy little quick release. Everything is Arca-Swiss compatible including the foot on my 70-200. Never fails.

Did some re-edits from past shows and started playing around with Split Toning on LR and hole lee fuk, did not know what i was missing out on but damn its added a whole new layer to the vibrance i love it. Especially on the horribly toned (purple, red tones).

Took some pictures of the moon tonight with the 50-140 (75-210eq). Cropped to the max.

Shots like these make me want to buy the 100-400 or at least the teleconverter put they are probably not going to be used much so they aren't worth it. So sad.

One from yesterday. Was debating whether to bring my 24-70 or 17-40 and went with the 24-70 since my CPL for the 17-40 is cracked. Will go back here again to go wider.

Anyone have the 16-35mm Nikon lens? Would like to upgrade a lens or perhaps fill in the gap in my line-up. For use with D7100
I have a 10-24mm Nikon, a 50mm and then a 70-300mm lens, I find myself using the 10-24 the most due to mostly shooting landscape, and It also seems to work well in the cities I try to stay out of. The 50mm challenged me in Boston to work on composing shots, but honestly felt the 35mm would've been more applicable. The 70-300mm I haul around where wildlife is a possibility, wouldn't mind a nicer long-range lens, but for the amount I get to utilize it, may not be the best money spent.
So there is a 35mm gap that I have contemplated buying a prime, and getting rid of the 50mm prime. But when I stumbled upon an article for a 16-35mm, It made me wonder if it would be worth it to lose the 10-24mm in favor of a 16-35mm and cover both bases, would help narrow down my lenses to just two.
I know there can be distortion at 10mm, however I do find myself using the widest setting available often enough that limiting it to only 16 gives me pause.
Would love some thoughts on this.
Thanks,

I was hoping to get a shot of the golf course. Do I need a telescope to see it?

If you're getting in close on something @ 15mm you really have to watch your distance. And it's HEAVY.

Thanks,
If you're planning on sticking with crop frame sensors, have you considered Sigmas 18-35mm f/1.8? You say you use the wide end alot, so it may not work for you, but it lets in a fk-ton of light and covers your 35mm.
One more alternative is to go to a 40mm prime. Nikon has the 40mm f/2.8 DX Macro lens which would fit right between the 35mm and the 50mm. I've got this one too, and it's a sweet all around lens, it was my go-to for my first year of photography. Only gripe on this one is it doesn't feel as if it focuses as fast as my 50mm.

had a full day of shooting with the 200mm on Saturday.
what I learned..
1) the glass gets heavy AF.
2) I now know the reason why i've been hitting the gym.
3) the glass is SPECTACULAR.
4) I fee like i'm cheating when using it. this thing is a amazing. i'm in love.
Thank you for selling me on it, gents!!
