DBN was like 230+ in that pic, I'm sitting snugly at 185 at the moment–measurements are gaining/shrinking in all the right spots tho I'm not sure if he's around anymore, maybe banned. He made me an honorary member the dirty south crew at one time. I can't remember why he was doing those pics, I found them on my old tinypic account while searching for something I made for loony years ago.

Well, being an OG isn't so bad when you find out you're known as "Hot Dad" at your kids' elementary school. I finally made it, but now I can't mack on any teachers. Too late. Feelsbadman.

Ah, gotcha. I misread! 90 Days is no joke, a great accomplishment–but it's also a time when some people who have quit, go back (to congratulate themselves), so I try to be mindful of big days like that.

Congrats and keep at it, looking forward to reading more about your progress!

DBN is still around on occasion, didn't realize that was him, usually would see him driving around wearing a mask IIRC.

He got a 365 day ban, and was never the same when he came back. They must have done turrible things to him at banned camp.

Going NC cold turkey on alcohol can be harmful and fatal in some cases. It really depends on how often you drink, for how long and if you've become physically dependent on it. If you're physically dependent on it, it is advised to seek some sort of medically supervised detox to ensure your safety.

Only about 1% of drinkers are physically dependent, most fall into the psychologically dependent category. This can be a very difficult thing to overcome in its own right, especially if most of your free time revolves around it. I always suggest that you have your days planned out, from sun up until bed very early on. This will limit opportunity and keep you busy. It's also suggested to stay away from things that might tempt you to give in during the early days–this is where planning your days accordingly is beneficial.

The first full year was the most difficult for me, as my life had pretty much revolved around the next party. The common things would trigger me–long day at work, weekend, nice out, football games, etc. but breaking my days up into manageable chunks and not thinking too far ahead saved me on more than one occasion. I never promised myself that I would never drink again, that would have set me up for failure. Instead, I wake up and simply say that I'm not going to drink today .

Before you know it, those days start to stack up, new habits are formed, new coping mechanisms are developed, triggers are less frequent and intense and life actually starts to feel a bit better each day. I had a lot of trouble trying to analyze why I needed to quit and would form a lot of reasonable arguments to justify me going back–it was driving me crazy. Now, I just don't think about it. It is what it is and like I've said before here, at the end of the day, my life is exponentially better without alcohol in it.

Any of you fellas travel back and forth from the US to Canada via car? Does the border crossing take very long? Also would they hassle me for bringing a protein jug up there?

I need my proteinz still. I am going to Winnipeg this weekend for a CFL game.

You should be ok. I bring back orders from bb.com that I have shipped to a u.s address from time to time. I assume you will be entering at the Emerson crossing. It's the busiest in Manitoba but you shouldn't have much wait. Have your passport handy and your gtg.

That's good to know. I am pretty excited.

I have to to see if Allstar was right about the Reese/Reese's debate. He said they taste slightly different up there when my mind was blown about how they were called Reese's down her but Reese up there on the labels.

You are correct about the crossing. I know it's busy for Semi trucks. I work in transportation/logistics and have sent numerous trucks through that crossing. I have never been through it though.

Last time I was in Canada was 1995 I think.
