Any hope that Kap had of being traded went down the drain with this performance. I imagine he'll double down on the political stuff so he can have a job next year outside of football.

The trade away Kap idea was gone as soon as this season started imo…especially after he pulled the political crap.

I'm glad he played like ass in a way because some people were starting to talk about keeping him around for next season. IMO we have to cut ties with him. That dude is so fuking far up in his own head I don't see him having any consistent success here and honestly I just think it will be better for everyone to part ways.

This offseason will be very interesting. I've been in the keep Baalke camp for a while but it's just not happening and I want to see a change…and not just one to Tom Gamble who is essentially Baalke 2.0.

I'm talking about bringing in someone from outside…someone from a successful front office with a great modern mind.

Are you guys familiar with the Parcells rules for drafting QBs? We all know Baalke worships Parcells and strongly believes in his way of doing things…well that chit so ancient it's no wonder we haven't drafted QBs in forever.

Make the changes and hope the new guy can use the cap space and draft picks to start righting the ship.

Here are some of my favorites in this draft that I'd love to have somehow.

Mitch Trubisky - probably the one QB i'd feel most secure taking with our first rounder. High ceiling and decent floor
Deshone Kizer - he's cooled off a bit but he has great NFL skillsets but a risky pick because he's so raw and had chit coaching at ND to really see what he can do
Luke Falk - probably the safest QB imo but the ceiling is low. Chad Pennington is probably a good comparison but could turn into a Drew Brees type.

Genus remind me again how we were gonna beat the bears and their devastated roster. We're the worst team in the league.

Glad to be wrong on that one but the weather was clearly a factor for us. Jets look pretty damn toast right now too. We'll see if we can blow this one at home vs a team who looks like they're ready for the offseason.

Jets and Rams games look like two we can possibly pull out.

Didn't watch the game and come to think of it, its the first game I haven't watched in years. Sad…

Was Kap that bad or just a combination of everything including him?

At this point I don't care who stays at year end, I just want to see a lot of heads roll.

Kap was bad, and then everyone else was bad.


I am not sure if the play call reflected it or if it was him. It was nothing but running the ball.

Yeah i'm so done with this season. My biggest thing is we need changes…if we keep Baalke I'm going to be really annoyed. I think he's ran out of chances.

Going into this season I felt it was a make or break year for him with a lot of his draft picks either not being healthy til now or not being in position to play much til now.

Armstead, Tartt, McDonald, Carradine, Harold, Patton, Ellington, Dial, Ward, Johnson, Reaser, Redmond, Robinson, Garnett, Buckner and I'm sure a few others I'm missing all had chances to make an impact or get serious playing time this year.

Out of all of those guys really Ward, Buckner and McDonald have shown promise. Some guys got hurt but staying healthy is part of the deal.

Time to move on and hope someone else can bring in a fresh perspective and put these high draft picks to good use.

There have been new reports saying he will be here at least 1 more year.

Are the Niners fade city right now? +1 against the Jets, feel like they'll get blown out like usual.

Hope so…beating the Jets and Rams and bumping us to like pick 5 or 6 would be awful and does absolutely nothing for me. At least if we beat Seattle to screw up their playoff chances that would be at least a little exciting.

Rams nope…cuz it may get Jeff Fisher fired even after his contract extension and I'd rather keep him around as the Rams HC for when we're hopefully good again to take advantage of it.

Long time no chat. Currently boycotting the NFL and it appears I picked a good season to do it since the 49ers are marching out an unwatchable product. Won't watch another 49ers game as long as Kaepernick is on the roster.

Would not bet on this game. 2 teams with nothing to play for so you have no idea what team shows up.

Vance McDonald signed to extension. Good signing, he's been arguably our best offensive weapon this season just gotta keep working on those hands and staying on the field. Arrow is pointing up though.

5 years is a big one. I am sure we got a good deal on him too.

Some of you guys are happy about McDonalds extension? I feel the 49ers over payed him tremendously for as inconsistent he has played thus far. There is about 5 tight ends in this draft that can replace him easily.

I've never been a fan of McDonald but we love us some blocking TEs and he can block. I'd rather have the 6,7+ TEs with hands but we've never cared to draft those.

Not excited about McDonald extension at all tbh, or at least not for so long, I woulda paid him pennies, dude isn't anything special, hurt a lot and has a terrible problem with drops and fumbles. Dude got a million for every drop he's had. He's got low low numbers, pretty sure VD and Delanie both have better numbers this year.

Stop living in the past man. The guy has like 3 drops this year and second in yards per reception for TEs with 20+ grabs behind Gronk.

Not to mention our QB situation is a lot worse than Tennessee and Washington. He's having a good season despite still not getting enough looks. Arrow is pointing up on him and it's clear to see.

Let's not forget Delanie was dropping a ton of passes with us too and nobody cried when he left because we all saw him as a decent backup but he turned into a legit starter well worth his contract. Guaranteed same thing would've happened with Vance.

Saying he has a terrible drop and fumble problem just isn't true at this point. He had a problem with drops and a few fumbles but way overblown and in the past. You pay guys based on what they've done but also on what they may do. I'm sure his deal won't be too crazy when details are revealed and we get a legit QB throwing to him.

What in gods name leads you to believe this organization is going to make the right decision on a QB of the future to throw to this "trending up" TE. He isn't trending up, he's just not trending down either, which isn't hard to do considering how bad he's been his first 4 years. Sure he got a little better last year and this year, but tbh he still has injury issues a bit and most of his yards per reception you're bringing up are on a couple big splash plays. Don't get me wrong I hope he can continue to get better and make more of those plays more often but I don't see it. And I wouldn't throw a 5 year 35 million dollar contract at a guy you're hoping will get better, but rather one who you know will produce big numbers. Another bad move by the front office, to be expected at this point though.


Apparently 24 catches, on 45 targets for 391 yds, 4 TDs, 4 drops is trending up, and worth this big contract, I don't see it. Not saying they shouldn't give him a contract, just don't agree with how long and how much.

When the QBs are Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick and his yards per reception are second to Gronk for tight ends for guys who are starters? Hell yeah that's trending up, honestly not sure how anyone can debate otherwise.

It's odd to me that you'd support Kap for so long and keep willing to give him 2nd and 3rd and 4th chances but still hold drops and fumbles that Vance had a couple of years ago against him now.

I watch a lot of Pats games up here and Gronk doesn't catch 100% of the passes thrown to him.

Delanie Walker arguably had worse hands than Vance when he was here and nobody thought we should pay him starters money…how is he doing now?

It's clear that Vance has worked on his hands and it's starting to show. Why would I think that he wouldn't keep improving in that area similar to Walker and Vernon Davis?

You're right his numbers are tiny for a 4 year player…but how many targets did he have? The guy was barely featured until late last season and that was only cuz Gabbert got the starting job.

16.3 ypc with Gabbert/Kap and virtually 0 threat at WR to help free him up and a guy who can block very well. I'd say it's a player I'd like to keep around. There's 0 doubt in my mind that if he was on the Pats this year he'd be killing it. You can't always control injuries, look at Gronk. Can't stay healthy cuz he plays like a beast.

I am seeing some articles about Mike shanahan coming into a front office role and again reports about baalke going away. That would be fine with me.

God damnit. Gonna win this game and fuk ourselves. Awful team.
