Explorer is a fukin beauty, i sold mine 3 years ago to fund another purchase and i regret it every single day. Bought mine for $3,800 and sold it 2 years later for $3,900, so i got to wear it for 2 years and made $100 off it.

For you polar fans, here's something similar out of Iceland, a bit off the beaten path:

Makes me itch for a white face green bezel but 2 of the same watch is a bit much for a relatively small collection

yep I agree. To be honest I really like the idea of bronze for watch making but the patina (as much as some people like it), with the green and ****, just isn't for me. I do like a little rugged looking patina, but it gets so extreme on some of these watches, which is probably because of the boiled egg water mixtures they use, etc. To achieve that look. But idk just skeptical on the longevity especially with moving parts like bezel and screw down crowns, etc. I actually like oris's no date diver 65 quite a pit, any one in here own one?

Agreed. Under like $1,800 I'd probably jump on one. Since its a limited edition it will probably be hard to get much of a discount on one.

Does anyone know of a legit retailer for this watch? Maybe with a better price?

Couldn't find on Amazon. I know the price on these watches vary so much all over the web.

Never buy full price there:

http://www.retailmenot.com/view/orientwatchusa.com

They regularly give out 30-50% off coupons. Then try:

http://www.longislandwatch.com/Orien...hes_s/1834.htm

Or Amazon.

Guys, I'm looking to buy myself a nice watch, preferably swiss made for $1000 or less. I really like this Mougin Pichard x J crew one but it seems to be unavailable now. Can anyone suggest similar watches? Thanks

I like it, their logo+ name ruins it for me… either needs a different font or pick another logo and have just the logo. Clashes too much with the rest of the watch otherwise IMO.

Repped.

Can use the code YOUTUBE30 to get 30% off and a free watch (not the best options but $150 of watch for nothing).

Not in US so can't use it but for someone starting a collection this is a decent deal.

probably his best bet for a thousand bucks or less. the finish on mine is pretty good, especially considering it was a steal with coupon codes and such from ashford.

edit: granted its a different type of watch, no rotating bezel, no steel bracelet, etc. the finish is pretty well comparable to my seamaster , then again as i mentioned there isnt a bracelet on my hamilton, and thats usually the first place "corners" are cut when comparing watches.
