Hate to say it…but hope it helps us lose out. Still hoping Cleveland somehow pulls out one win and we finish with the same record. We would own the tie breaker due to lower SOS.

While I'm more confident about the QBs in this class than CobyWan I do think Myles Garrett is about as sure a prospect as you're going to get in this class and he also helps us hit a need. I do like Trubisky and Watson as QBs(seems like Falk may not come out) but I'd rather go Garrett and then hope one of those guys falls. It worked for Oakland, sometimes you get lucky and the best prospect makes their way to you in the 2nd round(or trade up into the bottom first - smarter move since you get that 5th year option too)

My dream scenario would be Myles Garret and Corey Davis and then trading our 3rd rounder and conditional 3rd/2nd next year to the Pats for Garoppolo.

Jimmie Ward on IR.

That's the 16th player on the IR and 4 guys this week.

Here's hoping we lose two more games and Cleveland pulls one out of their ass so we can start planning for #1 overall and hopefully some encouraging changes up top in the franchise.

I think no matter what happens we're probably looking at another chit season next year but some moves can have us back in contention sooner than others.

Saw that just a little bit ago. This is looking like Harbaugh's last year. Hopefully none of the injuries are serious but just doing it because it is the end of the season.

I can't wait til the offseason man.

I'm nervous but excited at the same time. Like I said we can do some really good things this offseason or can take a bit longer to get there.

Yeah, that's not happening.

28 year old Alex Smith fetched 2 2nd rounders. Teams draft complete unknowns like Carson Wentz at the top of the draft.

A young guy who was drafted in the 2nd round and looked really good at the beginning of this year before getting hurt is going to fetch a 1st rounder + more.

I said it was a dream scenario I'm pretty sure Corey Davis will go in the first round too but for now let me dream.

Though technically you can argue it both ways with the Alex Smith vs Garoppolo compensation.

Garoppolo was a 2nd round pick. Alex Smith was a #1 overall pick.

Garoppolo has 1.5 games worth of starting experience. Alex Smith had a chit ton more plus playoff experience.

Of course you also had some bad stuff on Alex's resume to balance those things out but we were definitely selling high with him and Garopplo is 4-5 years younger than Alex was when he was traded.

But don't forget the big thing here is Garoppolo will basically be up for a new contract right away so with such little starting experience that will affect the trade compensation.

I like him but I don't think he's worth a first + more considering the contract he's going to get. Brock Osweiler doesn't help though I never liked him and thought Houston was crazy to pay him that much.

So with the Browns winning and assuming we lose from here on out, do we get the first pick?

Beyond annoyed at this moral fuking victory.

Browns give us a gift and we end up spitting it back out. At the very least with jacksonville winning today we're guaranteed #2 overall. But this is the second year in a row we win a meaningless game vs the Rams to drop us in the draft position. Hopefully it works out in our favor similar to how it has with Buckner.

Anyone hear anything about Hyde? All I see is that an MRI is scheduled. Hopefully nothing major. Would hate to have to find someone else now with all the other holes we have. Then again he has been injured every year so far.

He looked to be walking around fine, but you never know. This brings an interesting point though, that he needs a running mate in the backfield. I honestly hope they don't draft a QB with their first pick. So many holes to fill

Ya, let's shore up that second string RB spot before we worry about the quarterback.

We can fill up all the other positions you want but none of it will matter until we have a quarterback.

No, 2nd string RB isn't more important than a QB…

I'm probably in the minority but i'd be happy for the front office to fire Baalke (must go regardless of what happens), Kelly, and move Kaep on even though he's showing signs of improvement.

Dream scenario is all 3 leave plus Jed sells the team.
