I just realized I enjoy red days more than green days lol.

I guess, maybe there really is something wrong with me.

I will start counseling next week… unless it's red lol

I like that Amazon hasn't split tbh, distances them from trying to play that stock price psychology game and the negative connotations associated with it

BRK.A is the obvious king of it tho

I remember something about him saying he didnt want to split as the high price kept small time investors mostly out. Tho Schwab and probably others allow you to buy partial shares through their service.

good close today

there is good sign that (good) tech / growth might been oversold and value was overbought

some tech was probably oversold ie snowflake, fb, u, net

market breadth was strong today

VIX went from 29 to 18.8 in 2 days huge fall off cliff

lumber fell off hard

tldr

My mortgage closing. Date is coming up. They asked for the funds yesterday fml.

So sold some winners yesterday when everything was down. Could have saved 2 or 3k if they had allowed me to wait longer.

Congrats! Big move, first property?

You have no idea how many doors real estate equity begins to open after a few years if you can stiff arm wife, kiddos, or younger women who like to "travel".

Have to admit, a bit ballsy to have money needed for something like that tied up in equities right now… I try to avoid those .1% chance things when it comes to life altering moves.

I saw that few days ago. Wild story.

Funny enough when this happened last year April someone on wsb posted gain post making $2 million from WTI futures.

Can't find the post anymore deleted.

Yes super excited.

Wife loves to travel but i convinced her to put her money in our new house instead with renovations and what not.
For me it's the dream man. Simple. But I came from poor immigrants parents.

And it was super dumb to stay in stocks for so long with money I might have needed. Kept hoping it would recover. But just kept losing lol.

It goes fast.

House has been paid off for several years. Kids are in college. Retirement is hopefully around the corner, relatively speaking. And you wonder where time went.

How has no one fukking mentioned that Jocko Willink does the introduction to the Palantir earnings call?

Jocko Willink is regarded as the .001% of the .001% by the .001% of the .001%.

Palantir is absolutely not fukking around and is signaling by using him.

The chittiest most overhyped stock I've ever seen on the net is PLTR by a LONG SHOT

GME, NOK, AMC etc are all less mentioned than the above and yet have still outperformed PLTR

I own PLTR and been bag holding a while but don't complain about it every day because I'm not soy

Congrats on the house AND getting out of LA

Yeah, did a double take. Turns out it sounds like Jocko, because it is.

Reminded me of a key element of Palantir's creation story. They got into the offices of decision makers, etc., by getting in on the ground with deployed soldiers and showing them what palantir could do, and learned what soldiers needed from working directly with them, those soldiers went to their commanders and told them WE NEED THIS. Jocko is operations to the T, someone that was known to have respect from the bottom of the ranks up. His presence on the call is a good reminder of the roots of Palantir. These weren't west coast elites drinking $50 mixed drinks shmoozing executives, these were bootstrapped grinders programming to save the West, Freedom, and Democracy.

I assume you went over asking price?

That was my biggest fear that it would appraise well below asking price. Because I only had enough cash to cover if it appraised for listing price. I offered 12k over on an already over priced home. But we got lucky and it appraised for 6k over listing.
