Like I was saying training is more about landing targets, training should also involve what to do after you have landed your target.

You should be well balanced and truly understand all of the ramifications of using a firearm, and understand the complete seriousness of it all.

A firearm should be your last resort,
And I mean that. Understanding what that means is important.

Most definitely, but more than likely if the other guy is coming at you with a machete and you pull your weapon but don't fire and the guy runs off, chances are he isn't going to call police

I completely agree

I have zero intention on pulling it on anyone except in the 99% chance i am about to be killed if i don't

There should always be measures taken to avoid it unless forced to use it

Realistically, I am training for the day when I am older and weaker, and an easier target for criminals.

I really doubt anything would ever happen in my prime where I would have to exercise my 2A rights to defend myself, however, when that day comes when I am easier target, I am gonna want decades of training to lean on.

That being said, you better be trained up like many are suggesting. Not just trained on how to land targets, but trained on when force is legal. One small little factor could change the way you a judge by 12, so train frequently on knowing what situations you would be justified in practicing your 2A rights.

Most people when they get in trouble it's from doing stupid stuff like branding their firearms in an act of intimidation.

Imo you should only draw (as a citizen) when you plan on eliminating the threat.

Don't draw your firearm unless and until you would be able to articulate that you reasonably believed you were facing an imminent threat of serious bodily harm or death (or whatever language your current jurisdiction uses).

If you draw a firearm, you better be willing and able to justifiably use it imminently. You don't have to, stats indicate roughly 80% of defensive gun uses have no shots fired.

Drawing a firearm to "deescalate" is not using that word appropriately, IMO, especially since people say they "deescalated" by drawing a firearm in a situation where there was, until then, no lethal force present. That actually escalated my dude, somebody with empty hands was standing 30 feet away yelling at you, and you drew a gun…that escalated. If that person doesn't attack, okay, maybe you deterred, but…that wasn't deescalation

I prefer semi auto pistols for EDC, but I have to admit revolvers do seem to be a reliable backup or even a decent EDC. I'd ankle carry a .38 for backup.

Also it's illegal to open carry any handgun in Wyoming unless it's a revolver in a leather holster. You are also required to call intruders and would be robbers a "varmint" and order them to reach for the sky if they're in your domicile or town square.

One group I work with was able to relax some of the ccw restrictions in San Diego county. A "good cause" is no longer required here. Theres a few other victories we have won here too.

I understand where you are coming from, I'd like to get out of here, but I got some ties, and until that day comes I'll keep fighting the good fight.

I actually respect this take, I used to be the same way in CT. Of course I did move last year, but it's good to see someone who actually puts in the work to make a difference. At the very least try to. Most people I knew back home just spit good game, but at most only yell at their TV or complain to their echo chamber. I never saw them do volunteer work or contribute to political functions.

Not terrible, not great. Hate on them all you want, but I follow Reddit GunDeals for deals on ammo all the time: https://www.reddit.com/r/gundeals/

Ammoseek is good and all when you want/need ammo now and need to find the best price. GunDeals is good for the quick flash sales that pop up and you might be able to jump on before they sell out or the deal ends. But there have been routine deals lately on Blazer brass or PMC Bronze 9mm in 115gr/124gr for $0.25-$0.28/round depending on how much you buy.

Thanks for the heads up. Next time I won't post a deal unless it's the best option on the internet.

A lot of those deals will actually be closer to 27 - 30 cpr tax & shipping.
