this. once you begin to ascend, you dont need to time bottom time anymore (which is what the bezel is actually for, not 'dive time' nor to 'keep track of how much air you have left (bottom time actually means from the beginning of the descent to when you begin to ascent again (descent + time at depth))). the minute markers are less crucial for timing bottom time than for decomp stops, as your planned bottom time is going to be a multiple 5 minutes anyway

Picked this up a couple months ago…

Bought it off Joma and it kept horrible time for some reason and I decided it wasn't for me so I traded for one of my grails

Picked it up from David SW who I have nothing but positive things to say about. He overnighted it straight to me and I couldn't be happier. Its the perfect addition to my Sub.

Picked up a Navy Blue Perlon for my SMP recently, first time wearing it today, and i have to admit, i actually like the styling as much as i do the bracelet.

edit: and my Black Mako on a green/red/black OG Bond NATO (love this watch), in a bit of a night shot:

HAYYYY

Got a few watches from my grandfathers estate.. A few were Timex- didnt really pay much mind to those- but there were 2 gems that I absolutely have to share.

Universal Geneve with a Bulova Accutron movement (and this is one of the last true accutron movements,)

And a boss-ass Gruen that I had overhaueld, and the crown/stem replaced (i'll post this one when I get home to it)

The coolest thing about the u-g is that its a tuning fork.

I will be brutally honest like the misc likes to, it's a sh!tter. I think over the last couple of weeks people in this thread have wised up and decided like Archie also happens to preach, just buy 1-2 good luxury watches instead of trying to fill a stupid box up wit h sh!t. That's why there's not been much posting recently, because everyone's busy saving instead of buying a new tacky Seiko every week.

Everything in this video sums it up:

Oh, go away. The Orient has specs that blow away $2k+ Swiss watches, including an in house movement. Stop getting your info from morons.

What specs? He comes off as a baffoon because it gets views and entertains, but what he says is very real.

There's a reason why you're stuck on a bodybuilding forum desperately trying to flog the POS for $500 lol.

I'm not stuck anywhere. This is the last place I'd expect it to sell, because morans like you have no idea.

It's a saturation diver, which is cool, no helium valve needed. Sapphire is nearly 6mm thick. Ceramic coated bezel is gorgeous and durable. In house movement with power reserve complication. Intense, world class lume. Drilled lugs. World class bezel action, beating almost every Swiss I've ever felt. Holds 3 ISO certifications, for depth, magnetism, and shock.

Stuff many Swiss watches under $3-6k cam only dream about.

Sorry but nobody is buying a watch just for that anymore. It's not just the features, but the history, work and craftsmanship, prestige, and horological value. Your orient doesn't have the horological value of a $3k+ swiss watch kid.

And if I was buying a swiss watch I wouldn't be spending under $3k anyway. Kinda devalues everything you just wrote lol.

Nobody? Really. Why is Michael Kors outselling your horological Swiss masterpieces 100000:1? Kinda devalues everything you just said.

When I said "nobody" I was referring to people interested in horology, not fashion alone.

The os300 is highly respected by horologists, which you're clearly unaware of.

Then why have you been stuck here on a thread for horologists for two weeks and still haven't sold it lol?

Whats more is not just here, but other more dedicated horology websites have turned it down too.

as unfortunate as it is you just strengthened his argument by posting this. people are buying micheal kors watches because they see the name as prestigeous and popular, despite it being a relatively low quality piece of jewelry (lets be real, most people who wear fashion watches use them as jewelry alone). How ever i do not think your orient is a "****ter" as he put it. just because one person values the brand and prestige more than the actual specs doesnt mean that an outperforming watch with out the two former things is trash. Some people enjoy the look and name of the watch over the actual tool factor of it, and thats for him to decide it doesnt mean one is a piece of ****. as evade put it a couple of pages back its about how a particular watch makes you feel, reguardless the name of the dial.

to be honest seiko has a ton of heritage, and a lot of garnered respect in the horology community, but this guy has called them trash over and over. He is mistaking "status symbol" with "heritage"

secondly you know this guy is trolling both this forum and the s&p thread, with the over all tone of "if it costs more its better", which we all know is not necessarily true.

@wellhungFA style+appreciation=/=price brah. Im sure you know this, and im 99% sure you are just trolling us.

Oh, man, I know! That thing is mesmerizing! So gorgeous.

I really want the white Orient os300, but I'm going to buy an NFW Shumate for cheap, put the extra cash into my coffee business, make millions, then come in here to flip my Explorer II Polar to one of you saps for an AP offshore white dial.

So I found an omega dynamic chronograph selling locally. Always wanted to try one out. So I went and bought it this morning. I actually really like it. It's a great dial layout and an overall nice looking watch.

I also got this Seiko sumo delivered today for a buddy. Looks sharp but too big for me.

Edit: damn it dude I hate that it rotates my pictures that chit drives me nuts.

I really love that dynamic. I wish they'd reissue it as I cannot yet fall in love with vintage pieces. Idk what it is, maybe I really need to handle them some more.
