We have people passing around the flu/strep at work. Typhoid Mary is irking just about everyone because she kept coming to work and coughing over everyone and everything. Despite being able to work from home if she wanted. Two of us in my department started feeling off earlier this morning. Buuut our director will never believe it if we take off because we have a presentation tomorrow, lol.

And I don't go to docs. They frakken suck. And, around here, it would take you 3+ months minimum to see anyone, so you'll be better or dead by the time you finally see a doc who orders you to get plenty of rest and fluids. Either way, a complete waste.

Urgent cares are equally ridiculous. They're not so urgent. Running joke is that the best place for medical care in Las Vegas is the airport.

And I don't have the flu.

But heaven forbid anyone cough. Or you get screeched at by some dumbass who demands you go home. "You look sick. You're pale."

Um, I'm always pale af, and I have a persistent cough throughout the year due to a swollen thyroid pressing against my throat.

And this gal's the last twat I want medical "advice" from after the countless times she's come in sick, acknowledged she was sick, and then proceeded to make others around her sick. Thus far, I'm the only one not calling in every month due to whatever ailment is making the rounds (b/c none of my conditions are contagious, smh).

'sides, at this point, if someone comes to work sick, you're already screwed.

at night, while lying in bed, she weeps to herself. she would tell the overgrown child that she simply missed her family back home, should he ask. sadly, she hasn't ever worried about this, for when she settles in for sleep, his groans from downstairs can still be heard, refusing to give up the games which have torn them apart..
