The original is much lighter and sweeter, but still has a leather vibe. I'm a fan of sweet fragrances, so I like it more. Prive has zero sweetness to my nose. Both are masculine and perform pretty well.

But with CH Prive I can for sure pick up the original CH DNA in there that gives some sweetness and some cardamom similar to la nuit's

Has anyone tried any Montale scents?
Haven't gotten my nose on any samples, but their bottles, although somewhat cheesy looking, always catch my attention.

Chocolate Greedy is an OK gourmand, but would probably be my 4th or 5th choice for a chocolate fragrance. They have a lot of rose type fragrances, and while they aren't super natural smelling, they do tend to project and last a long time.

I like ch men alot more because the sweetness isn't just plain vanilla. It has a distinct sugarcane note. My island was a big exporter of sugar so I know that smell really well and it brings back that nostalgia. Absolutely adore that note in fragrances.

how's Royal Mayfair?[/QUOTE]Das it mane @ pic. I have this bottle and another of the first reformulation. Obviously when I use this fragrance I use the newer bottle and save my vintage which is like 95% full.
Royal Mayfair I got in a set of samples from @papillo and while testing all the frags there were quite a few that caught my attention more than RM. However, the funny thing is RM is now one of the few I reach for the most. It's a natural smelling office/CEO type fragrance and has that standout note of Eucalyptus which smells unique and makes you feel relaxed. I have never smelled another fragrance with eucalyptus before. I don't get all the notes on fragrantica. Instead, what I get is something like Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, instead replacing the vetiver with a cool minty eucalyptus.

SOTN: testing Frapin Terre de Sarment
Interesting to see so many people on Fragrantica giving wildly contrasting interpretations of it.
Has a very aromatic fougere character on my skin, but it's oddly thick and strong where most in that category feel light and fleeting. I like the use of a grape accord in it as well. Stands out from the crowd.
Performance is meh, just like the other Frapins i've tried.

Scent of the Day:Roja Dove - Vetiver Parfum Cologne

That said, I do agree Gypsy Water and Bal D'afrique are the two best Byredos for men. I would just add 11th Hour as the third best, but that's just personal preference. Performance on all of em are terrible unfortunately.

There's a dude on eBay who sells grouped 2ml designer decants sampler packs (5 different Chanels, 5 different Paco Rabannes, etc), I've bought from him before, solid seller. I just ordered a Prada Luna Rossa line sample pack from him, as I have yet to get my nose on those flankers.
