Do you guys have days where nearly every magic item dropped is worth $4k+ and then days when everything is worthless?

On act 1 with a new character a few weeks ago and I maxed out all the gold I could hold in a couple nights playing. I wasn't farming gold, just never seen this before. Get to act 2, and everything is chit.

Lol I felt like a homeless looting for every gold this weekend. My merc dying every second drained my stash of gold. I can't even res him so had to play and farm carefully without him and try to save mana pots lol.

Can't keep my A2 merc alive for chit, and soooo dumb. My golem will chase down mobs from far away, then this piece of chit will wait for me to get super close to attack. Not good for a necro.

Offline takes away the whole purpose of what makes the game great.
And back in the day, ppl would cheat offline and on open bnet too which also is lame.

Offline is great too in its own way. Its just different. It does feel rewarding to find all the gear yourself though. Its pretty refreshing to for me since I pretty much only played online back in the day.

why the fuk does my duress cost over 1 million to repair?? am i missing something

edit:
google search concluded that apparently if you make a runeword in an armor that increases max durability, the repair costs increases "ten fold"

apparently a ral rune can repair items though. might be my solution

I'm thinking of just using the Grandfather I found a while back for now, as I won't be PvPing with him anytime soon
For PvP you can make whatever you need situationally on hand, WW is fine too for the big poison rez boost. Shared stash should make the scene a lot more interesting.

can infinity light sorc clear chaos on p8?

Im siting on 10k FG now and thinking whether i should sell off my sorc, buy enigma and make hammerdin or just buy infinity and respec to lightening

For Blizzard builds, how do you kill the cold immune aside from relying on the merc?
Does maxing out Cold Mastery enough to pierce through their resistance?

From the calculator, the damage by Bliz is so enticing but there's a lot of cold immune mobs and it could be a pain dealing with them.
I'm currently Frozen Orb/Fire Ball build and it's still a pain dealing with elites that have both immunity.

Thinking of switching to FO and chain lightning.

I can solo the entire game in hell, but there are definitely times where I absolutely dread playing certain areas because I know I will have to wait for my merc to kill everything. Specifically:

Countess: I used to have my merc take out everything first before hitting countess, but now I just keep telestomping her and lead the other sloots out of the room, and repeat.
Diablo runs: mages. Really not a big deal as I open all seals and then kill uniques, then just struggle with lord de seis, but it eventually happens
Baal runs: in the ToD if there are CI's waiting, and the skeles on wave 2.

This all good timing because I just did the Pits for the first time. Holy cold immunes... just tele'd to the chest, and a champion dropped a 122 arach.... hnngggg
