Fellas…2 things.

1)What’s your go to for solvent/cleaner and lube? I’ve always been a hoppes #9 guy with my bolt action hunting rifles but I’m sure there are better options now for semi auto pistols and such. Been seeing reviews on clenzoil CLP, but the ol tried and true method of separating the cleaner from oil still may be king

2)Also…best torch to put on the G19 gen5? I’d like it to be flush with the end of the barrel (slightly shorter is ok too). Do not want it to extend though.

https://www.larue.com/products/larue...e-ar-15-upper/

Just placed an order for one, 3-5 week lead time. This plus,

-Stag Arms lower receiver
-Magpul furniture
-PSA lower kit
-Magpul iron sights
-https://www.eotechinc.com/eotech-holographic-hybrid-sight-ii

Looking forward to this build. The rifle without the EOTech setup will be under $1100, it should be a great mix of cost effectiveness and performance. Yes I could go a little cheaper and get a PSA lower receiver, but I want to fly the Stag arms because it's cool that they're a local WY company and they were originally from CT.

Was actually about to grab the Hoppes elite cleaner. Prob get that and then one of the lubes. Guy who sold me my G19 was saying Glock puts a preservative on that needs cleaned off before firing.

Both those torches look like nice options but ya they will extend beyond the barrel.

Good pick. Did some research. Prob will opt for the 7a…like those switches better.

Just noticed they make an 8a (that has a laser). Anyone have miles on laser if it’s good or a nah?

Edit…grabbed the TLR-8AG(Green laser). Gucci’d it up. Basically got it for $200 so why the hell not. Doesn’t add any more bulk.

I’m not aware of any reputable trainer who recommends using a laser to shoot a handgun but it prob doesnt hurt to have it and you can make your cat chase it

I could be wrong, but I dont think when people say they sleep with a gun under their pool actually mean it right?

They just mean their gun is unlocked and in arms reach right?

If I slept with my gun under my pillow it would probably end up on the floor, and that's not practical.

Lol at people itt getting spazzy with people who sleep with their gun "under their pillow"

Inb4 someone says no I actually sleep with it under my pillow lol.

Bought it solely for my cat tbh. Kidding.

I watched many videos and it’s insane how fast you can target acquisition/aim and fire with a laser and torch combo when in a night/low light situation. There was this one guy who was extremely quirky and lolzy and had some bad shoot from the hip teqnique but it’s obvious he was doing it for lolz bc when he shot fast with both hands with proper technique…let’s just say I would not want to be shot against by him. He states he’s been competitive shooting for decades. I’ll see if I can find it.

Lots of idiots out there

Just see how popular paul h-you know who is on youtube. Literally people jizz themselves over how awesome a revolver is as an HD gun because when your home security is so bad you wake up to the bad guy in your bedroom you can reach for the revolver under your sheets/pillow and fire it without even having to remove the sheets and it wont' malfunction due to slide reciprocation or shells getting caught by the sheet

Oh and also subjective damage done to oranges at 3" of penetration is a good indicator of self defense ammo performance

If you’re going to do the whole under the sheets and through the pillow thing, then you gotta buy one of them there hammerless revolvers.

If you sleep naked, just don’t get your Penor caught in the trigger guard.

All I have to do is rack the shotgun and intruders high tail it outa there. It's the scariest noise to a burglar.
