my wife isnt materialistic like most women. I spent under a grand on her ring.

We don't see 'rings' as a commitment to marriage and we wear QALO rings nayways now over our actual wedding rings lol. She got mad at me for even spending htat much on her ring. We like to use our money for other things. RIngs are overrated.

Tell him whatever ring he buys get an exact replica made of cubic zirconia.

Give her original and go to jeweler with her so she knows its real then, as soon as he can, switch it with the replica and take back the other ring. That way she thinks hers is legit, nobody else really cares anyway, he saves $ and in the event of a divorce, which is highly likely at some point in the future, she can keep the ring no problem.

I remember showing my dad the ring a buddy of mine got his now wife. Made payments on it. My dad is the most alpha man I know. He flat out looked at me and laughed and said "Son, why the fuk would you spend 8k on a ring." Then he told me to justify it. Sat and waited as I stumbled over my words saying chit like "Well it shows how much you love them and they'll have it forever...uhh...."

It was at that moment I realized how pathetic men have gotten. Somehow we were brainwashed into thinking that marriage and a ring is not about a sign of unity and love, but money. Who has the biggest and the best. A ring just to show off.

My dad told me never to spend more than 2k on a ring. He said you want to at least buy quality

Brought it up to my ex and she literally was taken aback. She tried not to seem materialistic, but clearly she was not having it. Wanted rings that were minimum 5k and always talked about then upgrading in the future.

The worst thing I ever heard? Her indian friend was 23 and her bf was about 38-40 years old. He proposed to her. Bought her a 1ct diamond ring. She told him that she wanted 2ct. He was a doctor, so he went back and gave her a 2ct diamond ring.

Spending a lot on a ring is stupid. We got Cobalt-Chrome wedding rings. They look like Platinum but are durable enough to wear while lifting without issue.

We spent $ instead on a new house and a new truck.
Eat in a deficit to lose weight.
Hit your protein and fat minimums to stay healthy and keep your gainz.

Why dafuq do you care? Why would I care wtf some dumb broad thinks about my wifes ring. It's about the idea of being married and love.

If you have the $ for it without going into debt, then I don't see anything wrong. It's your money after all.

That being said, for $10k I'd spend $9k on a turbo charger for my pony and $1000 for ring. Then photoshop the invoice adding an extra 0 if she wants to know how much I bought it for.
