Honestly dude it motivates the CHIT out of me to see people like that in the gym. Probably even motivates me more than seeing one of you *******s who can outlift me by a plate or more on every lift (but that's inspiring too).

The gym should be a place where everyone is welcome, especially those trying to improve themselves. When she told me there's a heavy man running on the treadmill I was like "I know! Isn't it great?!?"

He was drugged out so I couldn't tell his age, thought his mom was the one always spotting him and he had that half rep form. Ended up being his wife. One day we were both hitting incline db at the same time. His heaviest set he got spotted for was the 100's with a group of his female clients watching and a lesbian trainer spotting him. 100's are my first working set, then 110's, 120's, 130's, then drop set. Saw them all watching me and then went and complained to the manager about my chalk. I keep it in my bag and put little dabs on my hands. I saw him literally point to it and then point to me and I said are you about to complain about it. Then he said "oh that's yours?" Like I didn't just see him try to call me out. I called him ***got trainer. Got fired
for talking bad to his clients about other clients who were best friends.

-All my gym has is garbage trainers. Terrible form on everything, can't move any weight. We did used to have a big overweight guy I'd call fat trainer and he got fired for stealing protein bars. Guy could barely quarter rep 185 on squats.

Other random stuff I can think of.
-People pulling out their phones taking pictures/videos. Saw some girl bring a dslr camera in the other day taking pictures of a guy doing everything including drinking water.
-People that just have that bad vibe to them were they think they are tough **** and huge but are weak. I wish I was as big as some of them think they are. One guy wears a stringer, flat bill hat, sweatpants, never once had done legs and gloves. I call him gloves ***got.
-A lot of old guys love talking to me for no reason at all for long periods of time. Probably my size mixed with strength.
-Have a guy I know from highschool that has some followers at the gym. Teaches them all half repping. Guys went from weak with normal form to weird 2 inch rom on everything. He tried telling a friend of mine to kick the db's back with straight arms and you only need to go halfway to actually activate the chest.
-Called a personal trainer out for getting another employee to come take a snapchat video of him doing 135 on squats. He said he already went heavy that morning.
-The skinny mirror flexing kids. Two of them are twins that come to mind. Do arms next to the mirror standing sidways to check out their bi's.

-And of course maybe number 1. Absolute garbage form like others have said. For example the quarter rep squat. Then they add another plate.
God almighty you must be one annoying, obnoxious person...

But the key word is come to the gym andtryto improve themselves, not just sit on the bench and text.

Also, all the exercise in the world is not going to out do your bad eating habits. I've tried in the past to help many of these people until I see them eating XL bags of pork rinds. I won't let anybody waste my time like that.

I wasn't making fun of the fact he was only squatting 2 plates, heck even one plate is perfectly fine.

What's not fine is screaming while doing your reps and only doing half reps. Like what's the point?

At my old gym, there was this yooge motherphuker that looked like an insane hulk Hogan that used to throw 5 plates and then squat his intestines out while screaming at the top of his lungs. He would always bring a trash can over and start throwing up afterward. This was a local gym, not some bodybuilder gym.
I have become death.

Jesus, so many come to mind

- this old Russian dude to takes the 140lb dumbbells and DUCT TAPES 5lb plates to the ends to make them 150s and does horrible form rows.......while there are 150's sitting right there.
- this Indian guy who gets on the lat tower and does like 300 1/2 range reps non stop.
- old out of shape guy "who used to bench 400lbs and do 50 sets per workout" who just gets on the hammer machines, half falls asleep and does 1/2 reps.
- old guys just chilling balls out in the locker room.
- one jacked guy who thinks he's the kind of the gym, will leave 495 on the bar after deadlifting and just walk away.
- DYEL *******s that are constantly just hovering and getting in the way in the dumbbell area.

I didn't witness this, but I want to share this story. Last week while a coworker was using a hotel fitness center, a very obese women walked over from the hotel breakfast area (which was across from the gym) and rapped on the glass. My coworker walks over and asks if he can help her. She proceeds to tell him that it is making her daughter uncomfortable and self conscious about her body to watch him work out while she's eating and asks him to stop working out. My coworker just shut the door and went back to his workout.

This aesthetics crew looking **** with a zyzz stringer likes to take off his shirt and do mirror selfies. He doesnt look bad, but not nearly as shredded enough. One time, there was a legit monster training. He was wearing a shirt and had his headphones out and he dwarfed this zyzz wannabe in all categories, and was repping out heavy DBs like it was nothing. Once that guy left, he did his half naked routine and prancing around the gym taking pics.

Anyone that draws attention to themselves, interrupt other people, or is hogging gym space/equipment.

Ex: someone who leaves his gym bag on a bench and then proceeds to go do 20 minutes of warming up before using the bench. I don't give a fuk how big you are, everybody is an equal in the gym. The 120 lb kid has just as much right to a piece of equipment as the 240 lb monster. But those monsters know they can intimidate the kids and some of them do so.

I guess that's not cringy but it fires me up.

This. I really hate people working out i hoodies with the hood up trying to be the dark/mysterious/hard lifter.

But most of all, I hate when people do chit RIGHT in front of the dumbbells, blocking your path or the dumbbell you need.
hoodie up when i squat (bar feels weird as fuk resting on the hood), looks like i'm a beekeeper because of headphones

We have 4 racks at the gym. Me and 3 of my friends were there during peak hours on Friday and were taking our sweet time. We didn't want to be douches, so we each shared a rack (different rack heights) and worked in with each other. We each had about 10 sets each between warmups and working sets.

About 20 minutes deep, some random gym goer starts talking **** about the pair on Rack 1, under his breath, something about them taking the rack for over an hour and not even using it. One friend rages, the other laughs. Gym goer does nothing.

5 minutes later the staff person comes over to me and says "Hey man....I just wanted to let you know this patron says you've been on this rack way too long." "I've been on it for like 25m and am sharing with someone. He can work in if he wants." "yeah man that's not even long, I just gotta tell you." We walk over to the gym goer and I tell him that he can work in, we can change weights, rack heights, etc. whatever he needs so he doesnt' have to wait. Or, he can wait for 5-10m while we finish. He stutters a bit and says no no it's fine, then disappears.

I don't care about 99% of what happens in the gym anymore, but this gets to me. Someone complains. We offer a solution that works for everyone and be as accommodating as possible. He decided he'd rather keep complaining and just give up. Like....what more do you want me to do? Do you have more of a right to the rack than me? Our membership is the same price, and I am offering to share and let you do exactly what you need to do.
