I never understood this logic.

Have kids vs die alone.

There are women out there who don't want kids either who want to do the same thing guys who don't want kids want to do.
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Kids are not as expensive as you think if you're smart about finances. They cost a little more in the food and health care budget, but it's not that much.

Hell, if anything, the tax credits and breaks I get from having a kid almost outweigh the costs.

They definitely do affect your freedom, but again, it isn't that bad.

Gotta be careful though OP. I was much like yourself, living free like a bird during my 20s. When my 30s hit, I started to get really lonely but waited for the right woman. Was married at 34, had a kid at 36.

No regarts.

I'm 36. I don't get lonely srs. I decided when I was a kid that I didn't want kids and haven't changed my mind for a second ever since then dedsrs

I'd wanna look at the math on the net cost of kids when you include everything like increased housing costs, schooling etc.

i'm deciding based on the fact that no part about it appeals to me. i'm interested by the claim that some tax breaks could somehow even come close to canceling out the total cost. kinda like people who claim that they get a big tax break from being married when in reality, it's simply that they are getting knocked down a tax bracket because their wife makes 0 dollars and thus the average income between them is lower.

It definitely sets you back financially, opportunity wise with work/spouses wages plus the associated costs of having kids, plus the reluctance to take risks in finance/business etc.

In no way is it cost neutral to have kids but in no way does it cost 200k to raise a child either.

Both claims are copes tbh. If you want to have kids you can afford them, but money will be tighter than you're used to.

I understand spending a lot of money on your childrens education. I personally don't understand how people justify the cost of weddings or wedding rings at this point unless their multi-millionaire parents are paying.

$25,000 and a bunch of planning and stress for a one night party. Put that money towards your home...or put it towards a decade of vacations.

Over priced blood diamonds that are on the hand of every commoner...it's laughable at this point. Full NPC mode.

If it was up to one person to propagate the species I think he would have a lot more problems to deal with. There probably wouldn't be a "legal tender" to earn and save and simply finding food and surviving the night would be more important.

This makes no sense.

Money is worthless in the long run. You get the money to support and sustain your progeny and your fukhole/babyfactory/chef.

A man just needs enough money for his own food and shelter tbh. The rest is for his legacy and poon. We literally exist to provide for our children.

I'm not spending chit on a wedding though. That's fuking dumb. That 25k is going to a college fund.
