Totality was awesome but the drive home is brutal. 4 hours there and it's going to be about 8-9 back. Traffic sucks

Took us from about 1:30ish to a little after 5 PM to get from Bowling Green to Louisville and we only had one really significant slow down. Staying here tonight hoping tomorrow will be clear.

Happy you found a good spot.

Totality in an open plain area with the view of the cascades. Not my pic but something similar:




was a pretty amazing experience as it slowly went to dark, seeing the moon illuminated by the corona, and then the sparkle come back right as totality ended.

Thanks lol. Staying was definitely a good choice. I just got home about 20 minutes ago. 4.5 hours there 11 Back. If not for work I'd have definitely got a room

Pic I got. Nothing great but you can see it. They don't do it just ice at all though. Had a welding lens placed over my camera phone so it blurred everything but the rings there.
