Someone is lying here, and both sides need to be silenced. An objective analysis needs to be done to find out if it exists, and the extent to which it does exist.

was indifferent to the movie and could even envisage myself seeing it but the mass shilling and the overly defensive fans killed it.

It's great that they want people to get behind the film but all they ended up doing was creating resentment towards the film.

I'd say you are a certified fool if you think yet another superhero movie is gonna be a 10/10 after all the other ones (even the dark night wasn't a 10/10 imo and it was awesome), but I haven't seen it so I will withhold your title until it has been seen.

That's why you can't have any mature discussion about any topics, they just make a statement that hijacks any discussion from going anywhere. What is worse is that when something is legitimately bad, people are scared/reluctant to voice a perfectly normal opinion due to back lash; that isn't right.

For example I was discussing American politics with a person and they threw in the "Yeah he is only in power because all the racists and sexists voted for him". So boom, the discussion is over, I automatically just disengage because it's fruitless talking to someone that far gone. The exact same happens in movies, where you try discuss the merit of a movie and some idiot starts swinging in with: "Oh why don't you like it, is it because there's a female lead role?" or some ridiculous claim.

Knee-jerk labels are used as a defense from childish, immature minds. That's why when you see verbal geniuses on youtube debate against them they always crumble, so they go the path of 1. Ad hominem 2. Try putting words in the persons mouth to divert from the point 3. "You're a <insert over-used label here".

It's fuking disgusting how they try bully people. It happens on all social media too, nothing but childish bullies using raw numbers to force people into their agenda - or silence people who would otherwise object.

Not liking the movie because there are already too god damn many superhero movies out there is one thing. But a lot of the negative reviews seem to stem from the fact there aren't enough white people in the movie.

Just in case there is confusion...

The 100% on rotten tomatoes just means that it got all positive reviews.

It doesn't mean that those positive reviews were heralding it as a cinematic masterpiece, just that they liked it.

The 100% doesn't mean that each and every critic rated it as 100%, their actual rating is irrelevant as long as it falls nearer to the side of positive than negative (eg. 3 out of 5, 6 out of 10, 51%, etc).

Also, you seem to have a snobby attitude towards superhero films (I'm not even a big fan personally), why?
