I’m taking the class because it’s required for my major, I don’t have a choice. Again, what about the people who debated first and didn’t get to see anyone debate before them? Guess they should just get automatic A’s because they never got the huge advantage of watching others do a simple 15 minute debate?

If you communicated this to her and she decided after you hit her up to go talk to the teacher instead of saying something to you then that is stupid AF and she is in the wrong.

You should lie to her and say that you have plenty of accolades from when you went to nationals on the debate team in high school that prove you are a more than capable debater. Then say I wish you would have just shared your concerns with me instead of trying to rat me out to the professor. School is a joke compared to the REAL ish you'll have to deal with from people who have actual power over your life in the real world. In a case like this if you could sense that the fat dyke was going to screw you over then you just suck it up and go to the pointless debates even though you don't want to. I will say though that I did my share of group projects and there were always the ones who thought nothing of having riding on everyone else's work and they all had an attitude like yours.

Kinda surprised at all the hate OP is getting. The class doesn't have mandatory attendance, and the previous two classes consisted of listening to other people debate about topics irrelevant to yours. I don't blame you for skipping out when you could be doing better things with your time. There really isn't much to learn when you are just hearing people debate back and forth, unless you have never been in a debate before. Just as long as you can prove yourself and display your knowledge, you will be fine, don't sweat it brah.
