Sure, here's a Nat Geo article.

https://news.nationalgeographic.com/...on-apes-giant/

Here is the Wiki on it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigantopithecus

They were believed to walk like apes, but some believe they may have been bipedal. They are often depicted as having red hair, much like an orangutan which is believed to be it's closest relative. As I said, they are generally believed to have walked the earth with anatomically modern humans becoming extinct 50'000 100'000 years ago. IMO it wouldn't be a stretch that isolated populations may have been more contemporary. Still very limited information on the species.

To be clear, these are obviously mythical figures. 20,000 to 30,000ish year reigns....

A document saying something doesn't mean it actually happened. We find the Greek gods mentioned in various ancient documents- this doesn't mean they actually existed.
If someone came across George Lucas's novelization of Star Wars in two thousand years, this doesn't mean Darth Vader was really out there terrorizing the galaxy.

I hope that happens

Vader can be their Satan and Luke Jesus

People in thousands of years having holy wars with lightsabres, Sith vs Jedi

Meditating to feel the force

amazin'

Might be the one good thing post apocalypse in Earth

Never did I mention it was fact....documentation does not mean truth

But nowadays truth or documented facts is neglected or portrayed as bias opinion anyways

Probably the reason why we don't see giants walking around with us is that they are afraid of humans. They are afraid to get killed, so they hide in the caves and what not...They are probably living in some remote areas in the world underground.

1. Orangutangs are humanoid.

2. This is the only giant primate that is scientifically supported by physical evidence.

3. It's exactly what I spoke of in my previous post to which he requested evidence.

Pretty sure, there are sources of foods underground...Just like what the other video has posted, they are cannibals. So when they capture humans, they eat them...

I'm looking at this and wondering wtf you're talking about?

Some stone tablet said reigns of kings lasted hundreds of years? How do we know (without exact translation) they aren't talking about the king + descendants? How do we know this wasn't put forth by the dynasty rulers as a way to show how powerful they were? It's like a pre-modern statue.

You posted a source of a giant ape?

What in the flying **** does that have to do with anything? No **** there were probably giant apes. There were giant mammoths and all sorts of big creatures 50,000+ years ago. Once the environment changed, that all went away.

What does any of this have to do with giant humans?

My bad maybe they should of taken pictures of their birth certificates...

The date we're talking about is beyond comprehension of historical evidence. Think about it in terms of today if we were to suddenly vanish from the face of the earth...what would remain to show our existence and civilization 10s of thousands of years from now..some dvds, skyscrapers, statues? These things will be consumed by the earth within a century, not even including if some random wars broke out if humankind still would exist...

You keep using this word "sarcasm" but it does not mean what you think it means.

Love how anyone that opposes your absolutely awful attitude towards your job as a public servant is a "snowflake" there isn't a cop within 50km of where I live and we seem to do just fine.

I think it's only arguing semantics if we have completely removed ourselves of the context that started this whole discussion, which was a giant, sentient, humanoid creature with a shield and a spear who kidnapped and killed American soldiers.

Introducing the idea of a giant orangutang that may have lived a hundred thousand years ago is relevant to the discussion, but it shouldn't be confused with being humanoid in that context because it confuses things.

I'm not arguing for the belief that giant men with shields and spears exist. I am putting forth the closest creature to what is being described. No, I don't think there are giant men with spears eating people.

FYI, humanoid fits the description, especially when discussing convergent evolution. FFS dude, I don't even know what you're arguing about.

So, we're just going to pretend that these "giants" aren't just people with an overactive pituitary disorder and have acromegaly (like Andre the Giant), coupled with the average height being, like, 5'6 in those times, someone that was 8' would seem like a giant to them.

Or are we instead going to conspire that literal giants exist like in Attack on Titan or Game of Thrones?

acromegaly is when GH production increases in adulthood, so you just get big hands and feet and stuff. Gigantism is the increase in GH before adulthood resulting in an increase in height
