r u cereal. when was he annoying? he's the only one with enough balls to do what he has to do. in the end of the fellowship of the ring, he made the decision to journey to mt doom completely alone. that is one of the top bravest acts ever in fiction.

Loved Samwise courage in Return of the King, I read a youtube comment. "I've slayed orcs, I've battled a giant spider, I can talk to a girl - Samwise"

The movies really are beautiful. My favorite even over Star Wars movies now.

Sam and Frodo's bond reminds me of me and Christmasfnatic. I am sure he'd carry me across his shoulders up Mount Doom too.

Currently re-watching the Trilogy again and noticed this thread bump. Watched Fellowship and Two Towers, going to go watch Return of the GOAT later tonight.

Movies still hold up flawlessly. Made 20 years ago and the CGI still looking crisp, solid, tight (for the most part, some of the shots of the Hobbits in full frame with the adults look wonky).

It looks so good because it was made with miniatures/bigatures, matte paintings, practical effects, prosthetics. The Hobbit looks so cartoony because it's all CGI, almost nothing practical other than the Dwarves.
