Dude your mind would be ****ing blown.

The fastest growing broker franchise here specializes in providing state minimum policies for people without drivers licenses. That way they can go get tags for the car and not get pulled over. They charge like $19 for the ins and like $300 in brokers fees bc they know the person will never make the second payment.

If someone without a license gets stopped, here is what happens:

Scenario 1, US Citizen with suspended license: traffic court date, giant fine, 2 points on driving record for 5 years.

Scenario 2, illegal: there is no way to track the person, they don't have a license number to attach a violation to, so they get a warning and sent on the way if sober

There are two TOTALLY different sets of laws working in CA right now

Not going to talk about the state's problems but lets not pretend this doesn't happen all across the country. Heard the same story 1,000 times. Guy has multiple prior DUIs, minimal penalties, eventually kills someone. The penalty needs to be harsher across the board.

CA is far less lenient that some other states. PA for example, looking at the below, is a $300 fine, no jail time, no license suspension. It's basically a parking ticket.

With all of the ride-share services and what not in 2019, there should be a lengthy prison sentence, even for a first offense. You'll never be able to do anything about people like the fuk in the video, but there's no reason not to make it drastically harsher.

So it sounds like its not a problem with the laws its that they don't enforce them against illegals who are the ones driving without a license. I was in a place not far from my hometown not long ago when I drove by a chicken processing plant that has been there since before I was born. It is not in town and on a very scenic stretch of highway. It looked like a landfill in the ditches. Like so much trash it would back up the water. I asked some questions and apparently the plant now employees mostly illegals who just dump their trash in the ditch as they're pulling into work. At least they can't vote here because we have some pretty strict voter ID laws.

It's entirely a problem with enforcement. Everyone I talk to all day knows not having a license or insurance is basically meaningless unless you're here legally and the city/state thinks you've got money to pay fines.

It's revolting. I wonder if these politicians that allow these laws and the court systems that hand down lenient sentencing would be fine if they or someone they loved were victims of similar crime? I mean lets not forget, purposely giving someone HIV in CA is not even a felony anymore, it's a misdemeanor. Always the bums and criminals doing the wrong thing getting sympathy and aid while hard working. law-abiding people get shafted.

If I found out like my mother was the victim and the criminal didn't receive a full sentence, guess what the pathetic part is? If--well not if, I would--I harm them in anyway they would throw me in jail. What other choice than vigilantism when you can't have faith in the law to even hand out adequate sentences in such extreme cases?

1 person not only can end a life or multiple lives but also destroy the existence of those still living. 1 person, fuks over multiple people and the courts are still lenient. The only case where I would give leniency is if it was an honest accident; like a rainy day , a tree fell, they swerved and hit the car. Of course something along those lines is tragic and shouldn't be met with verocity. But outside of that, society needs to know if you fuk up and if you end an innocent life with no plausible excuse your life shoudl always be forfeit, no questions asked.

They are awesome. You have to have a birth certificate or copy, a SS#, proof of residency to get it. Everybody should have access to those things even the poorest of the plebs.
When you go to vote they cross check the voter roll to make sure you are at the correct polling station and scan the bar code on your ID then you vote on a machine that makes the choices clear and confirms your choice. I've been pissed about the outcome of some of our elections but I've never questioned the validity of them

Hate seeing this chit. I drive the 401 in the GTA regularly and you see this kind of stuff all the time. Kids/azzholes thinking they can bob and weave at 170+km/h but traffic can easily go from 120-140 to 0 in a matter of seconds. Have had a couple close calls with these types ending up on the shoulder next to me after because they brake late. Thankfully there was a shoulder or else they would've ended up in my back seat.

Not sure why people with DUI's are allowed to drive again so soon. Messed up system. Hope this guy get the worst possible sentence.

can't wait for nanotechnology to make it possible to inject nanorobots on DUI offenders that will check their blood alcohol levels all the time

and if it's over 0,000001 they get electroshocked from the inside until their liver can filter all the booze out

In PA it's Wayyyyy more than a parking ticket. I don't know where that site gets its figures. I know several people who got DUI's. They had well over $1000 in fines. ARD (which you have to pay to go to these classes), loss of license etc. If you are a multiple time offender it's jail time.

Breaks my heart that there are people that show no respect for other people's lives, this person should be punished to the full extent of the law.

DUI punishments are pretty stern against otherwise law abiding citizens who get caught driving right around the legal limit (usually 0.08% blood alocohol level) when they were driving fine but get pulled over for expired tabs/tail light out/DUI checkpoint or something. They are not so stern against people who disregard the punishments, continue to drive drunk, and do incredibly reckless chit that ends up potentially slaughtering inoccent people.

it's unfortunate he took someone else out, couldn't even kill himself right. Guys like that need help, regardless he needs to be eliminated from the gene pool.
If I'm gonna do it, it's probably either jumping off a building or a bullet to the head to get it over with asap. Killing yourself doesn't require taking away other people's lives. Ridiculous, no sympathy for whatever he was going though, esp. when he tries to leave by damaging others. If you wanna leave the party, well it's better if you can get help but if that's not possible and you've made up your mind, you quietly take the back door and leave in peace without hurting others. imo

Hope he gets jail for a very long time.
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.

I'd of had to of been restrained from pulling that POS out of the truck and stomping his head into the pavement... That's not just driving under the influence that's being completely reckless on purpose to be driving at speeds that high. Hope he gets prison for life, although deserves the death penalty... So much trust has to be had for other people in general just to drive on the road but then you got people like this out there.
