I know, I know, linking to philosophy videos is a little bit of a cop out. But truly, Alan Watts, his lectures, and his lessons have been an immense source of joy for me in my life. Why not give some of his teachings a shot?

I've seen a lot of his stuff before. Yes, these types of things help make the most of it, but the most of it still sucks. Like someone else ITT said, if you're an incel even your best possible life is s*itty because you're missing one of the basic components of human happiness

I'm happy that you've found some of his lectures enjoyable, in fact, I'm delighted to hear that. There's a part of me that wants to say that certain paths can satisfy you more immensely than sexuality, and that part, I feel, is affirmed by those buddhists that remain abstinent. I want to say that fulfilling your "purpose" or working toward a "purpose" that you have a deep passion for might even be a higher satisfaction than sexuality itself. I speak from my position, mainly emboldened by the knowledge that Inedia cannot be practiced for a lifetime, but abstinence is practiced throughout lifetimes often (and at one's own will usually).

Again, though, I think it's because I classify these things in a manner that is not the same as the way that you classify them that we often disconnect or disagree.I'm not going to make the claim that my way of thinking is a higher way of thinking, although, sometimes it may come off as though my intention is such.I merely make suggestions as to the paths I think are good ones. As a brah with a fairly high sex drive, I understand what that can do to the mind. However, I feel as though there is an element of "togetherness" one can exercise over that in order to reel it in and make it work for you--as opposed to you, working forit.
