You're not Peruvian.

You also benefit from gringo priviledge there.

You should donate your money to BLM

And as far as your argument of putting it on the tax payers(which I don't agree with), well think about it,

Your tax dollars are going to Israel, useless wars, 3rd world countries, the failed drug war. Wouldn't you rather your tax dollars atleast going to fellow Americans making us all better(Blacks, poor, infrastructure)? What exactly is wrong with that? It would probably benefit you in the long run. Because on the contrary you practically see none of the money that leaves your check.
Yes, my taxes are going to a lot of areas I don't agree with. No, that doesn't mean we should add this to the bottom line. I want to DECREASE spending, not increase it.

I will never advocate for giving money to anyone based on skin color alone. It's a racist idea (ironically)

And again you haven't answered, who gets the money? Are they going to screen only poor black people below a certain threshold who can prove their ancestors were affected? Does Lebron James get his share of the money? Does a middle class black person who moved to the US in 2005 from Nigeria get his share of the money? Where are you drawing the lines?

Milking the system is a joke. There's plenty of blacks who don't want to be on welfare and food stamps. It's a joke, you're still struggling and you have less living options.

As far as the Affirmative Action/ diversity stigma. These so called liberal companies hire 1 - 2 black people out of 200 whites and call it diversity.

Those are liberal programs disguised to make them look good. They don't work and they'll never work. Malcolm X went over this in the 60s

If you want my actual opinion, blacks need our own businesses.

Why would anyone be against the police being more accountable for their actions? In this age of police militarization, etc restraint is needed more than ever. I think that's something people leaning to the right can agree on, nobody wants a government that's unnaccountable and that is able and willing to hurt it's citizens.

So much money has been given to the mega corporations in bailouts, I think it should be better spent in reparations as the influx would help everyone overall and also because money should go to the people not to the megarich.

Government still owes 40acres and a mule. That was reparations for slavery. Don't worry about slave masters, it's on the government.

Slavery is just a part of the equation. Take Black Wall Street for example. A wealthy city full of black businesses, black doctors, black professors, ect. All burned down because of jealousy

If the blacks you know do that, then why would they need or want it?

Ok so only descendants of slaves, that can prove they are descended from slaves, are allowed to get this free money

As long as you make sure the money only comes from descendants of slave owners then I guess I don't really give a ****

I'm willing to bet no on all accounts

So why do you feel entitled to free money?
The US still gives reparations to the jews and Isreal?? We still give reparations to the japanese for ww2?

We gave Isreal almost 40 Billion last week btw

Its not free money America owes a debt the the people it forcibly brought here to work for free labor. Its money that was earned by literally building this nation.

African Americans weren't even legally allowed to participate in the economy fully until almost 50 years ago. 50 years isnt even the lifetime of one person.

Yes personally you wouldn't be paying but as a nation if America ever wants to heal and move forward progressively some sort of reparation is necessary.

Why would it come from the private citizens money? It should come from the government, if HUNDREDS of billions are given to the megacorps in bailouts why shouldn't it be given instead to it's CITIZENS. Why is it so easy to approve of the megacorps getting bailouts instead of citizens getting reparations?

Wouldn't you rather that go to your own people and not overseas to fund wars? You'd rather your taxes fund the war on drugs? Your taxes have gone to far, far worse things like corporation bailouts and big banks

Besides reparations mean more educated blacks, meaning more high earning tax payers. Chances are, you'd see a benefit

I'd do anything to end the war on drugs wasted money. I wouldn't be opposed to them lighting it on fire, so I guess reparations would be an improvement.

Because coming from the government means that I'm contributing to it from my taxes. Which I'm not ok with

I'm also not ok with giving Israel / native americans money either

Put something in front of me where I can vote to stop all of these handouts and I'll vote for them every single time

Also, if you think throwing money at people is going to solve anything, just lol at you

Good thing every American can enjoy and benefit from that infrastructure equally now and they all have the same opportunity. Except whites and asians who are trying to get into colleges but they are being discriminated against based on race I guess.

No. In fact, instead let’s increase the taxes of the black community to pay for this and for causing all of this destruction, killing innocent people, destroying innocent people’s businesses, attacking innocent cops. You do not pay them as a reward for this violence.

Maybe if they were given reparations they could improve the quality of education, healthcare, have access to credit etc and would no longer be poor. Wouldn't need healthcare.

FYI there are more whites on welfare than blacks.

Well then you need to think of a way for “America” to pay them back without taking money from individuals who had nothing to do with it. I’d also be ok with a taxpayer-funded memorial honoring all the slaves. Maybe we could dedicate a park bench to them. Otherwise fuk off.

yes i hate that big corporations need bailouts, but you have to look at what would happen if certain companies didn't get bailed out. how would it affect the overall economy, how many other corporations that do business with them would also go under, how many people would loose their jobs, pensions, etc.

if the potential loss to the american people as a whole is more than the bailouts then it is justified. was it, well i don't know.
