Mine has always made a lot more than me. Though I’m closer these days. Never been a problem. But no kids? Maybe it feels different if you feel like you have to provide? Always enjoyed being with someone smart. She graduated at the very top of our class in college.

If you make enough to be secure on your own if things ever went sideways then I’m not sure I get the issue?

Are you really concerned about her making decisions? Then I'd say you met the wrong person if you aren't comfortable with her making decisions.

Edit to add: just dawned on me the disconnect - you are limited to being a provider based on financials alone.
