the first omicron case in the uk was reproted at the end of november, and not much earlier than that in south africa. how could they accurately study reinfection so early?
also, who gives a fuk. 25k cases, 7 deaths

i'll be surprised if that number remains the same in the long term

How's the construction of that simple sentence you've been dodging for three pages now coming along?
And the pic of the vial of Comirnaty that you took at a local pharmacy?
Someone keeps taking the L's a lot in this thread.

For everyone with at least half a functioning brain cell we consider it fear porn because the aforementioned potatoes seem to get off on it despite the fact that it always ends up being inaccurate and grossly overblown hype.

The article doesn't discuss mandates, restrictions, or policies.

Liberals are irate that we are living our best lives. They’re irate we aren’t living in fear. They’re irate because we’ve called their bluff on the politicization of the virus despite them telling us it isn’t political. They’re irate we are getting the virus and not dying from it, which they’ll claim we are. Stay mad while we live our best lives.

Like 2-3 days tops after cybertron variant entered Canada they were claiming 1/3rd of cases were omnicron already. ****ing how

Now you're demanding that I present a calculation that you wish to critique, but won't say what it is you want exactly?
If you know what you're looking for, then just post it here so we can all see and maybe get past the whole "guess my argument" game.

It's not even a compound sentence.
I'll make it easier for you, you can post the sentence in French, since English is clearly not your first language.

I finally reached my breaking point with this Omicron garbage and have accepted that some people are just embracing fear and stupidity.
Piles of evidence from around the world that it is equivalent to a cold and nothing to worry about. Yet everyone is freaking out about more cases (oh no, cases) and doing more restrictions, asking for lockdowns, pulling kids out of school, closing down things. Meanwhile, you try to point out what is actually happening and people don't want to hear it. Yes, cases are going to erupt. Yes, it's the same as a cold. Health care system is fine almost everywhere except in certain countries where Delta may still be in the mix. Vaccines have also diminished severity significantly.
The only reason I'm taking precautions this week is because I'm spending Christmas with two 90 year olds who even with a cold might be in serious trouble. So I do what's responsible to make sure they are definitely okay and don't have a chance to catch it. Then I'll go back to living my life. These idiots wearing supermasks and begging for businesses to be closed can jump in a fire.

A study led by researchers from the LKS Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong provides the first information on how the novel Variant of Concern (VOC) of SARS-CoV-2, the Omicron SARS-CoV-2 infect human respiratory tract. The researchers found that Omicron SARS-CoV-2 infects and multiplies 70 times faster than the Delta variant and original SARS-CoV-2 in human bronchus, which may explain why Omicron may transmit faster between humans than previous variants. Their study also showed thatthe Omicron infection in the lung is significantly lower than the original SARS-CoV-2, which may be an indicator of lower disease severity. This research is currently under peer review for publication.

What's so hard about posting a single sentence?

What's so hard about posting a single sentence?

We could kind of treat the vaccine/dosing estimates as separate studies and do a pseudo meta-analysis, but that's a hack leaving a lot to be desired.
