I always carry inside gas convenience stores. If they have 30.06 on the door, I go somewhere else. Luckily, the one close to me doesn't have anything posted.
From the LTC class, they emphasized that gas stations are where these kinds of crimes commonly happen so you should always carry going into these places.

Best pocket pistol? Keltec 380 don't seem to be available locally to fondle. Handled the ruger lcp and it seems okay. Which gun would you pick for a small grab and go gun? Open to others
Friday night. Date night in Miami. Every night is a date night in Miami, and everyone's having sex. But for me, sex never enters into it. I don't understand sex. Not that I have anything against women, and I certainly have an appropriate sensibility about men, but when it comes to the actual act of sex, it's always just seemed so undignified. But I have to play the game.

because….

- crime is relatively rare compared to most of human history and so most people generally feel safe even if it's a false sense of security, especially in well-off neighborhoods where people are blown away when a robbery occurs, and then there's news crews and people are crying in the streets saying "how could this happen here" even though their neighborhood isn't gated at all and someone literally just has to drive up and break their window to get in

- a lot of people are scared of, or hate, guns in general and don't want to own one

- many have been misled by statistics gathered using questionable methods drawing causative conclusions and ignoring confounders, and so they think that everyone is worse off if they own a gun

- some people morally cannot imagine themselves using lethal force in self defense

anyways, sadly this event you've linked is one of the times a carry firearm may not have helped. by the time someone has their weapon already drawn and pointed at you……. you're in a pretty bad spot if you need to draw your own. you better hope they don't have a round chambered, or their aim is horrendous

MOS seems like it has a huge advantage since you could, say, use an RMR, decide you want something else, and not need the slide re-milled

I would go with a Glock 42 if you want concealability in a .380 acp

Usually when you feel the safest is when you are generally the most vulnerable because if you think about being in a shady place or bad neighborhood, your senses get heightened and you scan the area , in a safe place you don't normally do that

Either that or i'm a paranoid fukk, but i am constantly scanning regardless

Universal consensus that Glock's MOS plate system is probably the single worst factory optic ready system out there

I just sent a slide out to get milled and it was almost painless. Walther PDP gets a lot of love for a OR pistol, S&W m&p OR as well.

Found a local shop to swap the KAC flash hiders. Dropping the uppers off tomorrow. Will take about a week (which is kinda retarded) but I'm flying to Portland later this week to get some tattoos so by the time I get back they'll be done. I'll paint the SBR after that. I'll hold off painting the 14.5 upper until I get it completed, still need a light and optic for it.

I have my 19 at a local shop for a slide cut and cerakoting the frame. You could probably find someone local. If not, not really a big deal to mail it to someone.
