no way I'm reading the whole thread but holy fuking chit OP

This is the type of stuff I have dreams/nightmares about. I have the same nightmare over and over where someone breaks into my house and I have to spring into action, grab my 9mm from my nightstand and go to work (with my pitbull helping). The scariest part would be the realization that it's actually happening, and having to sprint upstairs to grab the gun and put in the loaded mag and make the decision to kill someone (srs). Can't imagine it actually happening though. I'm paranoid about concussions so having some crackhead swing at me with a steel pipe would piss me the fk off (srs)

OP glad you survived. Had always thought of the possibility of this happening to me due to my front neighbor being a dealer. Always made sure to never open the door carelessly unless i saw first who it is. For the very sole reason that someone with ill intention knocks on the wrong address.

i work at cad news. We get so many reports of home invasions, we don't even bother reporting it. We'll start doing the same soon with car jackings in toronto - cuz it's almost a daily thing now cuz our justice sytem is such a joke. Risk vs reward. The most they'll get is probabation. And gun laws don't apply to criminals.
