Soooooo alpha!

Can't believe how much I loved the orange bezel a few years ago, and how "meh" I feel about it now.
Maybe I am bipolar but it does nothing for me anymore. Even bought an Orient Mako XL with orange bezel in the past because I liked it so much.

SMH.

Yeah it's never done much for me. If it was black it might. Will be trying to trade this probably, maybe just list it for sale

Being issued a standard diver =/= being issued a Sub. Not a need, but a definite want .
As Jecoma said, I would get it tested but even then, I wouldn't dive with a 5513. I can see the appeal though in wearing a Rolex diving. I would go 14060 or 114060, whichever you prefer (definitely take a look at the 5 digit models, they wear and feel significantly smaller)

Dont see whats trollish about calling a status chaser out.

Enjoy "collecting" panerais and ceramic rolexes you bought straight from the AD. So much history and horological knowledge in that.

Srs question, what if you prefer the ceramic models? Or should we just avoid any watch available in an AD? What about a used vintage watch for sale in an AD? Is this a grey area?

So many questions

Idk why youre taking it as a joke when you cant possibly believe buying every single watch new from the AD makes a respectable collection. That's just buying expensive jewelry lol.

LOL this guy gets even better. Bvlgari actually does make a very high quality timepiece (their Octo Finissimo tourby with the plain bezel is pretty hhhnnnggg) but every person I've ever met that owned a high end Bvlgari/Zegna/Ralph Lauren/etc. leads with the exact same line every single time:

Bvlgari: "Thanks but did you know that Bvlgari is one of the leading in house manufacturers in the market and make really high end stuff…"
Zegna: "Thanks but did you know they're made by GP so they're serious watches…"
RL: "Thanks but did you know that Ralph Lauren is a huge watch enthusiast so he didn't cut corners when he decided to make watches…"

They have to let everyone know that they are SO into watches that they've moved to the less popular brands. Reminds me of the beer ****s that have to let everyone know that the micro brew their drinking is aged for 3.14159 years in aged oak barrels from the trees from supposed site of the garden of eden and the barrels are sealed with unicorns jizz that gives it a clean, herby finish.

Out of curiosity, what straps have you paired with your 114060? What's your favourite?

Although particularly plain, an all-black Sub. is handsome:

It'll complement virtually any outfit, as well. Black brings balance.

I honestly haven't even thought about taking it off the bracelet; the bracelet is so comfortable and fits perfectly (especially combined with the glidelock clasp). I would be tempted to swap out the bracelet if I had a 5 digit reference or less sub but I just can't do it with the modern oyster w/ glidelock!

It's the best bracelet in the business, I don't know how one could improve upon it.

I'd definitely give a rubber b or everest band a shot if you ever feel the need to mix it up. Yeah they're exclusive, but I wouldn't settle for your sub.

Thanks! Buying this:

And using the extra to buy this for my daughter's graduation from middle school:

Which may look silly, but it's a legit 200m dive watch, with sapphire, and full lume dial. Cool. I'm gonna have the back engraved, from me to her.

That NFW Shumate is pretty kick ass, as far as specs. It far exceeds the $700 price new, and I'm getting it for $350, with a bunch of straps. It's completely polished, including the crazy bracelet, so i have a guy lined up who can bead blast it, if I want.

Nice, I absolutly love the look of bead blasted white/light metals like stainless and titanium, although titanium can take on a very dark dull gray, which i actually find very good looking. stoked to see pics if you decide to go that route.

Don't know why but Im mirin. I know it's TAG but Ive never seen a two tone gold one like that before, didnt even know it existed so its caught me off guard. Just imagining myself wearing that among all the idiot steel sub drones lol. It would feel understated but dominating at the same time somehow, if that makes sense to anyone.
