Bvlgari: "Thanks but did you know that Bvlgari is one of the leading in house manufacturers in the market and make really high end stuff…"
Zegna: "Thanks but did you know they're made by GP so they're serious watches…"

They have to let everyone know that they are SO into watches that they've moved to the less popular brands. Reminds me of the beer ****s that have to let everyone know that the micro brew their drinking is aged for 3.14159 years in aged oak barrels from the trees from supposed site of the garden of eden and the barrels are sealed with unicorns jizz that gives it a clean, herby finish.
Agreed on the Octo Finissimo tourby.

However, the people I have met with those watches have been cool, and I was the one who asked about them. So Anecdotes are of no use.

I personally find wellhungfella pretty funny, its just satire/trolling on the snobbyness of this hobby.

Top 5 laundry detergents in the game (don't judge my opinion):

1.Tide (delivers a clean and fresh style of)
2.Oxi clean (attacks dry stains like a monster)
3.all (deserves a spot in the top 5 but not the best)
4.wisk (I respect the stain spectrum tech. But needs to fight harder for that top 3)
5.purex (up and coming in the game)

Yeah I'm not a huge fan either but the guy I got it from abused the strap it was covered in sweat and oil and garbage, this is the only other 22mm strap I had. Don't worry, I have something coming in for it

The book is a guide to make a watch. A lot of really technical explications on how to do stuff which when you are not doing that exact thing holds very little value. Regardless I do enjoy reading it and the 50 page section on escapements sure makes you understand how they work and why he made so much effort on his co-axial escapement.

The part from the movie where he basically told r. smith to **** off with his handmade watch because it wasn't good enough was telling.

It's hard to tell if the dial is original or repainted. The script, lume and minute ticks etc all check out, they look like they should be, but it looks like there might be some paint on the 3,9 and 12. That could be reflections, but it's hard to see in these pics. Paint on their sides would indicate a redial though. But even in that case, $350 is a not a bad price for it.

Looking for 1 last watch. I have narrowed down my search to 4 pieces, currently these are 2 of the pieces I am lusting over right now.

Both completely different, but they caught my eye and are the right size for my poocey little wrists

IWC Portuguese Chrono 41.5mm

Panerai Radiomir PAM 512 42mm (The only Panerai I could see myself owning)

Which would you guys take?

The Panerai luminor would to big for me.

Had to triple check that there wasnt a hidden date window on that IWC to ruin it. You got some solid watch taste.

Some beautiful watches in this thread, congrats on wealth.

For members of poverty crew, are Orient Makos decent divers or would Seiko etc be more reliable/durable? Anybody with medium-small wrists got any pics?

The Mako is pretty popular in here, only problem for us tiny wrist *******s is that the good colours only come in the XL.

What're the good colours for you? I like the standard black/blue dials, and the pepsi bezel is growing on me unexpectedly

where did you end of getting it? Personally I would like to try one one/see it before I buy. I like the matte look of some of them, would keep it relatively clean.
