why did crypto fall off cliff?
China came out that they were clamping down.

https://www.reuters.com/technology/c...ss-2021-05-18/

China has banned financial institutions and payment companies from providing services related to cryptocurrency transactions, and warned investors against speculative crypto trading.

It was China’s latest attempt to clamp down on what was a burgeoning digital trading market. Under the ban, such institutions, including banks and online payments channels, must not offer clients any service involving cryptocurrency, such as registration, trading, clearing and settlement, three industry bodies said in a joint statement on Tuesday.

“Recently, crypto currency prices have skyrocketed and plummeted, and speculative trading of cryptocurrency has rebounded, seriously infringing on the safety of people’s property and disrupting the normal economic and financial order,” they said in the statement.

I've been saying it for the past five years: crypto currency has no future on a private level because governments will never allow it to compete with them. However digital currency will be a thing in the future, just on a public level.

Elon sends rockets to space.

He knew exactly that crypto is massive waste of electricity.

Like I said above if Tesla sold on top BTC they did brilliant move.

However TSLA stock has been tanking so who knows if getting involved in BTC was right call from beginning.

Those Chinese farms have been reported on for years.

Find country with cheap ass electricity rates setup mining farm ie Iran / Vietnam etc.

Hell Venezuela is having power outages daily cause government is mining btc underground.

I wonder if the US government also maybe had something to do with Tesla selling bitcoin. Makes sense, EPA is against crypto, Tesla has all those tax credits, government could have said that he can't be associated with crypto if he is going to get the tax credits because it could make the government look bad if someone they have a deal with is associated with a non environmentally friendly alt currency.

Yeah they sold at the top (for now). BTC could very well go over its ATH within next couple years continuing its trend (if you've paid attention to the chart throughout the years).

Yes he did, I knew about the massive energy consumption years ago and posted about it on here. He knew and he knew years ago probably before me. So why did he wait to talk about it till now….(rhetorical question)

Edit- So is anyone going to keep slowly buying into this chit? I am

And is anyone buying F? I'll be buying a lil more today

^^ I think it's just the fact that institutions were becoming more involved, either directly or indirectly through fund managers adding crypto exposure to their portfolios, and institutions care about a lot of stuff that doesn't matter at all to retail investors

People trying to get rich off chitcoins don't care about emissions, power consumption, or human rights violations in jurisdictions where their chitcoin is being processed

Now is a good time to buy some oil if you have not already, I think 62.60 was the likely bottom before the summer boom.

If it does go lower, it will bounce from about ~61.

Pretty sure I called this earlier.
